    Hi Taffy

Its pretty much a tube :rotfl: ..didn't relise that when I ordered it :o ..but it has the bag and other scarf on....
I will PM you in a moment ;)

Hi MRS MCAWBER, are you knitting this using circulars, or is there a join? I just got my Elizabeth Zimmermann books from the States and there's instructions for a knitted Moebius - with a picture of it used as a snood. The added advantage for me would be being able to knit the whole thing without having to purl ;), or stitch up afterwards.

It is knitted on normal needles...so I will have to sew it up -but with nice fluffy wool you will never know ;)
I have never tried circular needles..and had I realised just how easy it a snood was going to be -i wouldn't have got a pattern :p -still it has a couple of scarves and a bag on the pattern too :D

Im hoping to get my other nieces "poncho" finished in the next few days :j -Although I will have lots of fringe to attatch

Havent knitted for ages but have found some wool I bought ages ago with good intentions.

Does anyone have a pattern for one of those 'over sized' jumpers with 3/4 sleeves that are so popular now. Searched the free pattern sites and cant find one.

    thankyou

If I suddenly get more demented than I am (if thats possible) and wander off, I will owe my survival to that glo in the dark pink waistcoat !!

Yesterday i went to our local charity shop in search of some bargain wool as my stash is becomming seriously depleted since i started my charity knitting.
i got my mucky little paws on 7 50 gramm balls of double knitting wool and took them to the counter where the price for each ball turned out to be.............. 75p per ball. i told the shop i didnt want it and went to my local shop where i got double knitting 100 gramm balls for £1.15 each.
i dont know how charity shops can justify asking such expensive prices.
anyways thats my rant for the day
    regards

Tooties - most of them just guess. ;) Probably one volunteer has said to another (while they're pricing) "knitting yarn is really expensive now" but they haven't gone into whether its kind of Rowan or Colinette as opposed to some acrylic cheapo stuff.

I've noticed a big increase in charity shop prices of everything lately. A shop near me has a mens jacket for £18. It's not in perfect condition and has had plenty of wear but because the label is a "posh" one they think it warrants that price. I am monitoring it and it's been hanging there 3 weeks now!! A while back they had beautiful Betty Barclay trousers in pristine condition for about £3 alongside Primark or Matalan ones at the same price.

Tooties I caught our local charty shop selling a bag of wool that can be bought individually on our local market at £1.25 per 100g ball. They were actually more expensive!
