BUT! On the online court info it states that this court covers about 10 postcodes (mine not included), however when I rang and spoke to the arsey (sorry - no other way to convey how awful she was) clerk she said that my area was covered. How do I find out for sure if this is the right court. The online info is dreadful - incredibly vague. Im stressing now.
So its £335 for the OR and a form for the court fees? I am going to be skinto minto this week.
When I said send the forms I meant submit - when and how do I submit them online?
Hi NME,
Give the Court another ring on Monday morning and confirm that they cover your area. If there are three Courts in Croydon you can probably use any of them, but better to check and know which one you're going to.
I think you only submit the forms when they're your final draft. Print your final draft off before you submit them, in case you can't print them off once they're submitted.
It's not that important anyway because the Court clerks scribble all over any errors. All that counts is the forms the Judge stamps; however scrappy they might look.

Hi NME,
are the childrens accounts in your name?
Take a little cash for drinks and a mag with you to kill time.
You can be in court for anything from one hour to three (approx) it just depends. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Im glad I am jumping with others this week, but cant help feeling really really alone.
I think a good book, a pack of cigarettes, a flask of coffee and enough cash to go for a drink afterwards is the "Hitchhikers Guide to Bankruptcy".:D
We didn't include the childrens savings accounts and there were thousands in them. (of pence)
The average time is approximately 3.26 hours.
We never had to go to Court and I feel as though we missed out.

So my dummy run is fairly useless then? I dont actually live anywhere near Croydon - Bromley would be my closest court, but the website is useless.
I have just tried to print off my other forms and printer isnt working - marvellous.
Whats next? A plague of locusts?0 -
It also says on the bankruptcy bit for Croydon court - 10.30am petitions for xyz people, then 11am - xyz people. I was told to get there before 10. Are these people booked in? Is this thier appt with the OR in which case it doesnt matter because I will just be told when my own date is. If not - and these are appointments as many posters have then my plans for Wednesday are kapputt. Grrrr - why cant all the courts have one bloody system????:mad:0

NME,
Ring all the Courts close by and ask them which ones cover your area.
Go to a library in the morning and print the forms off there. Email them to me and I'll print them off and fax them to any where local; Post Office.
Copy and paste them into a Word doc and take them to a Copy Shop; not having a functioning printer isn't a "OneLastExcuse".:D

Thanks you 2!
I have one that is in my name because my 9 year old is too young (it has £1 in it - we just opened it so that he can save his pocket money up towards new bike), my 13 year old's has £20 in.
so - I dont have to take any ID - I might just in case. Do I have to give them my cheque book (wherever that is) and bank cards?0 -

Maybe you go before 10am and then you get an xyz slot at 10:30 or 11:00:confused:
It would be too easy if they were all the same.:rolleyes:0 -
Ahhhh Richard - you know me so well!!!
I have looked on the Bromley Court site and that covers weird postcodes too - very very odd. It also states that it does NOT "do" bankruptcy. So Croydon I think it is.
Am off for a drive - back soon....xxx0
