I think we should all write lists...

I'm not getting married until May 2009 and have only started to look at potential venues etc so nothing bought or booked. I was on another wedding forum and there were people getting married in July 09 who had just about done everything. I suppose we're not going for popular/expensive venues and not having things like cars etc so we can more laid back.
I agree with Tine. If you have you heart set on somewhere it would be better to book it now than have to suffer the disappointment of someone beating you to it.
I'm getting married in August and have changed my mind so many times about things (not the groom though
) I am driving everyone potty
.
I suppose it depends if you know exactly what you want. It could work out very expensive to buy everything change your mind and have to start again. I suppose that's what eBay is for though. There are always seem to be a lot of dresses on there with "I changed my mind" in the description.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Oh yes, we are looking into that and got a few places lined up, they tend not to be venues that are usually used for weddings so I'm not too concerned about them being booked up in the next couple of weeks, but I do want to get it sorted out.
We're trying to find a nice room to hold the ceremony in (Humanist weddings have the same status as religious weddings in Scotland and you can get married anywhere) but most places aren't interested unless you want to do the whole thing there (which we may end up doing). I enquired about the ceremony-only room at Edinburgh Castle. I knew it would be more than we wanted to pay but £1000!!!!! You get a drinks reception and co-ordinator to help but we literally just want a room for an hour. My fiance really wants it to be somewhere formal and historic looking, but I guess you pay for that. Still waiting to hear back from some places though!Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Look at you updating your list.... Funny how the tape measure hasn't arrived... I would send the next one recorded lol.
I have a grand total of nothing to update my list with... Have saved another £20 towards the dress... Just another £720 to go... think I'm going to have to choose another dress! (Have been contemplating not getting one until a couple of weeks before and seeing what's available on eBay but don't know if I'm that brave!)
Oh, and the family member making the cake has changed... looks like it's going to be made from scratch rather than a marks and spencer home decorated job :jA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I thought that was odd as well but she told her dad the same when he rang to check! have now told her that if I don't get her measurements will guess her size and she'll just have to hope it fits :rotfl:
Text ex for DS measurements at 1pm had them by 6.30 - no time warp in suffolk at least :j
My dress is coming from China and total cost was £91 the designer original was just under £1000. Should have it in 4 weeks..................... might just get excited then!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
