I would do if it was on a proper path but I don't think my shoes will like the cattle grid if I go by road. The other way is a public foothpath and the grounds of the hall have horses ducks and geese in them so think its a no no

I was going to walk. (The church is a 15/20 min walk away and the venue is across the road from the church) or get my dad to drive us, he's got a Rover. Not exactly a merc but a cars a car when you're only going round the corner... OH insisted on getting a proper car though... Booked one through one of my nan's friends so saved about £180!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

    My updated list:

Am just back from Jewlz and have ordered my bridesmaid dresses. The dresses are absolutely fabulous far better than they look on the website.

The girls were very friendly and helpful. We even ended up measuring a dress against the wall as our small bridesmaid couldn't come with us. DD looked lovely in her dress!

Delivery is due 4th July which will just give me time to get them altered.

Kilt measuring booked for next Saturday - FIL has got us a deal through a friend of his. We have had to change tartan but this one has ribbon available to match so can use that on the bouquets so that's something else sorted.

Counting the days till I try my dress on on Wednesday.

Now off to order the BM shoes from M&S and a gorgeous cake stand which is more expensive than I wanted to pay but am going to get as the BM dresses have come in under budget.

    Must start the invitations tomorrow...............

Well have ordered my shoes, same ones..again!! lets hope they come in the right size this time!!
Looking at getting wedding rings next month as just rung my loan co and my loan ends next month wooo hooo!!!
  • I especially did not want to bother with cars etc, partly financial reasons and partly because I just hate the pompousness of it all, so we are having a one stop wedding. The venue has a little private chapel attached so no cars needed.

I didn't get round to ordering my bridesmaid shoes - checked the M&S website and they have stopped doing the ones I had picked out for the small ones - good job really as OH now wants all 3 in the same shoes as well! Not the easiest thing when you have one in size 12 one size 13 and one adult size 5 - have found some that have passed scrutiny :p

Was then in the process of ordering the cake stands and made the mistake of asking him how many tiers - he replied 3 (no problem) stacked on top of each other (saves money on stands) and square - despite me having shown him the M&S cakes several times which are round!!!

Back to square one - does anyone know where I can get square ones off the shelf at roughly the same price as M&S?

On the positive side have cut out all the bits for the invites etc - my sizzix machine has more than paid for itself and have made 80 odd toppers - am sooooo glad we are only having a small wedding :rotfl:

  • Some nice stuff in debenhams sale.Bridal dept is not included as a whole but there are some odd bits within it reduced such as little bridesmaids shoes, ivory satin half price and some little ivory jackets reduced.I was not looking for my bridesmaids things just now so didnt really have a good look.I ordered a dress and bolero for myself to try on yesterday and another today using code PNBP for 15% off and free delivery.Theres also a free delivery code SHA1.Go via quidco for another 4% cashback too.

It was m&s.They do square cakes too. This one shows 2 tiers but the mini cake also available may do as the top tier?http://www.marksandspencer.com/gp/node/n/51458031/202-0536893-2122239?ie=UTF8&mnSBrand=core

Thanks for that but the bottom tier is only a large and fruit is £170
If I have the round ones 3 tiers with extra large as the bottom one is only £115.

Am going to try and talk him round tonight - wish me luck!
