Well my first ever batch of Easiyo yogurt was a success. I tried the strawberry which is delicious and OH loves it . Can't wait to try the Greek and Coconut.

You can make smaller batches. Just use half the powdered sachet at a time with half the amount of liquid. Be sure to seal the sachet firmly though and keep it in a dry place as if moisture gets into it, the next batch may not work so effectively. Also, try to use it up fairly quickly.

Does anyone know if you can use the Yeo Valley 0% fat yoghurt for this? Asked OH to pick some up yesterday but forgot to specify the full fat.

    Thanks xx

Used this this week for first time (was a substitution by tesco) and worked well, I may have put a bit more milk powder in this mix but it seems thicker than normal. But very nice

Does anyone know if I can make yoghourt using Lidl's Greek yoghourt as a starter? (It's the one which is in a 1kg tub, and is amazingly good and so creamy). I really would love to replicate that yoghourt, as I'm a fair bit away from Lidl, and it really is the only one I like.

So, just before I make my first batch, have I got this right?

2 tablespoons Yeo Valley live yoghurt
1 litre UHT milk (I have whole)

Do I neeeeeeedpowdered milk or will it work without? Do I need to warm the milk and yoghurt or is room temperature better?

Top up the Easiyo to the top of the baffle with boiling water and leave for 12 hours.

    Can anyone confirm?

Is it a live yogurt? If so, it should work. After a few generations, it'll probably stop working so well, though.

I'm not actually sure. :o It's in Greek (I live in Cyprus), but I used to get the same one in the UK. Suppose I could just try it out anyway and see if it works.

Yes, I use it all the time in my bulk yogurt maker (Lakeland) So it should be ok in the Easiyo. I always use the full fat with UHT whole milk plus dried milk and find that I get a lovely thick creamy result. (I also use the tubs as storage too, have quite a collection now ;) HTH :)
