How much starter and dried milk did you use?

at least 2 table spoons of yogurt (maybe up to 5) depends how much is left in the bottom of the jug when I decide to make some more. I just scrape it all in.

I did read some where also that if you do have a weak batch then re boil to 180f and cool to 110f again and add another culture. So you dont waste anything. I would do this if I made a mess of one and use a 2 frozen ice cube cultures instead (this is my plan b)

I put around 3 table spoons of dried skimmed milk in before heating up ( I have been using morrisons own make and also the one that is in a blue/white tub, they both work as well),

I like my yoghurt thick I have decided and this really does thicken it up. I would imagine the more you put in the thicker is becomes. I might try lots more one day just to see

Have made a couple of batches now, first with one of the organic natural yogurts, then 2 from the batch before if that makes sense

    Used 2-4 tablespoons yoghurt
2-4 tablespoons skimmed milk powder (2 and it was quite runny, 4 and quitebthick)
Almost litre of skimmed uht (tesco value, 50p ish litre) milk, no need to heat,
Shake to mix and leave, tend to make at 7 in the morning, pop in fridge in the evening 7-9pm ish when I remember. Then it's ready for next mornings breakfast

Plan to try one with some raspberry milkshake mix tonight to try flavoured one for kids. Also thinking about adding vanilla to a made on to see what that's like.
Has anyone else tried flavouring theirs? Either after making or before?

I make up a batch every week, using dried skimmed milk. 6 pots makes a litre and find that using a hand mixer can keep using the existing yogurt as a starter about 4 times. Then have to buy new plain low fat from Tesco 45p 500g. Use in mostly in breakfast..oats,fruit and yogurt.

My favourite flavour is a couple of teaspoons of lemon curd stirred in to the plain yoghurt, after making. Prefer to make the plain and flavour afterwards then there's plenty for variety!

That's a great idea, will try that sometime soon :-)
Have made some with the crusha milkshake stuff, put in at the mixing stage and that works quite well for raspberry and strawberry flavours. Keep meaning to buy some vanilla pods and put the vanilla seeds in after it's ready and try that
