Wow, this thread is huge
Am going to get one of these easiyo's but wondered if anyone could tell me how long the yoghurt would stay free, both the sachets and the yoghurt made from uht milk
Thanks0 -
Sorry that should say, stay fresh :-)0

Saw the easiyo on qvc the other day and noticed in Lakeland you can get the maker for £7.19 ATM. Does anyone know the cheapest places to get the sachets and the best flavours Tia2015 Big wins: luxury 7 night holiday in sharm el sheikh, theatre tix, £123, IPad Air 16gb, Night in London hotel celebjuicetix :, Portable dvd playerT

Hi guys
Can I ask a question?
I have always made my yog in the easiyo with 2 spoons of starter, 2 spoons of milk powder and 2 of sweetener (no one will eat it without) and then topped up with UHT whole milk.
Question is Can I use Semi-skimmed or even Skimmed milk to reduce the cal/fat content? I have just started Slimming World and Fat Free yohurt is free, but I have worked out my normal yoghurt as yummy as it is will cost me 3.7 syns per 100ml.Donna
Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.0 -
Made first batch last night and just tried it now, very nice :-)
Did make it from the packet though as a first attempt to see what it should taste like but will be ordering uht milk in the next shop to try that method ad use a couple of spoons of this as the starter, does everyone use powdered milk as well as uht?
Did cave in today on the way home and bought a few flavoured ones to try (from the range) at the same time as couldn't resist the thought of it0 -
Wow 2 weeks, can't see it lasting that long here either ;-)
great to hear. I am still enthralled at making and eating yogurt. I still have not bought any more starter yogurt, between using some from the last batch or some frozen is seems to be lasting quite a long time. I did have a "thin" batch back end of last week but I didnt put any dried milk in to the skimmed milk. Made some more Monday from skimmed and dried milk and it was as think as ever. great news and still tastes great.
I have taken though to adding a dollop of gooseberry jam in or a squirt of golden syrup for a different flavour before I eat it which tastes great.0 -
How much starter and dried milk did you use?0
