You can make your own yoghurt without the need for a Eadyjo. There have been previous threads on here and Jamie Oliver has it on his website.

I like the easy yo, its dead simple to use and you can do alsorts with it. I love ours. And it does work out cheaper especially for the greek yoghurt. My kids can do it!Has anyone seen my last marble:A:A:A:A

The slow cooker method or a flask would work out much more reasonable than easy yo....especially if you use lidl for the ingredients.
If you want to try easy yo the containers do come up on Ebay for a lot less than new.0 -
We have one but do not use the packets.
We buy a large pot of Live Culture plain yogurt and freeze it in an Ice cube tray.
We then use skimmed or semi skimmed milk with one or two of the frozen cubes of yogurt.
Works for us.
Have done this today it has been in since 11am it is starting to thicken but is still quite runny, it kinda looks like its curdling. It does taste like yoghurt. Should I leave it longer will it thicken up or have I done something wrong? Appreciate any help:beer:0 -

Thanks! I have used some milk powder and about half a little pot of plain natural yoghurt but I didnt wait for them to be room temp will this be the problem will it just mean it takes even longer or will I just have runny yoghurt this time?0

it doesnt work out cheaper for me as i just eat so much of it it cant be healthy! personally have never had a problem with the packet stuff but i generally leave mine going for about 12-14 hrs, have had success with doing as suggested with making it from uht milk both full fat and semi skimmed but skimmed milk just was too runny but more a 'drink'.0

Was very runny even when I left it for 12 hours but it tastes like yoghurt!! And is yummy just more of a drink.
Maybe I should have let it warm up first?? Will try your method next time TC. Any other tips??0
