When we got our delivery yesterday which had some of the beef missing, bringing the cost below £75, the bill still included a 1p charge for the 1000 points coupon. I will be phoning up next week to check to make sure it went on - otherwise I'll be damn annoyed that they charged me £0.01 for nothing.
You did well then Biglugs (she says with not a hint of jealousy you understand). My Delivery Note stated the e-coupon had not been allowed because the transaction value went under that required! If I hadn't already kicked up a stink and got the delivery refunded, I guess I could have tried telling them what you've been told
Not to worry, they did send me 6 of the 78 beef I ordered, which is 6 more than I've seen anywhere else in these parts :j
The £0.01 is the transaction for the extra points - so you'll get them I'm 99.99% sure, tho' why they have to charge you for it, I have no idea!0 -
We did get a phone call from Tesco this morning regarding our order for 42 packets of beef today. Unfortunately they only have 10 left in stock because they've been getting bought! Told them we would just take 9. We didn't tell them it was us who bought their last 25 yesterday!!!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Hi, I have only just found this site and it certainly is very addictive. I thought I was the only person who looked for extra points, reduced items @ buy one get one free etc. How wrong I was.
My freezer was full of the beef on the first day of the promo, I'm glad so many others have managed to take advantage of this offer.
I noticed one last night in my local Tesco Local store that I hadn't read about on here which was Tesco 500g Lean Minced beef price marked at £2.01 on the packet (this is the price it was scanned at) however the shelf did say £2.00.
When I enquired about this to the cashier she offered me my penny back and naturally I asked for the full amount quoting their policy. It was obvious that she had never heard of the policy and looked at me as if I was mad. Asking for my whole £2.01 back for the sake of a penny was obviously an unnatural thing to request (which it is I suppose if it wasn't for their policy).
She said I needed to speak to the Manager who was called and as soon as I quoted the policy he handed me back the money.
The funny thing is I genuinely stopped in the shop to pick up the beef for our tea last night and had no intention of 'looking' for any discrepencies or bargains it sort of just happened which in a way is 'psychologically' less naughty/ more justified than some of the things that I have previously claimed.0 -

If they do this to us again I'll simply refuse to accept the order when it arrives. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
