I bought 9 today in Leyland, but the cashier only charged me for 6. Can you imagine the odd look I got when I went to CS and told them I'd been UNDERcharged??!! :rotfl:

Just ordered some online, to arrive Tuesday. This is my first Tesco home delivery order, and there was no mention of how many points I will get added. Should there have been a reference to this somewhere? I clicked on the 'check my points' button and it showed the correct total so at least I knew they were aware of my clubcard number. Do I need to be concerned?

I'm not even all that fond of roast beef, I only did this for the points.

I believe I was the first person to spot this offer on the beef.

I was buying another load of burgers in a not so local store and spotted the beef offer in the freezer.

Tried it out for myself...it worked, so I grabbed a few more, went to the homeless shelter to drop of my burgers, then came straight on here to share the good fortune.

A few posts after mine cpjackso, whether prompted by my spot or not, I don't know, went to flyertalk to get the rest of the list of deals for Birds Eye so that people may actually buy a range of food to eat probably.

If you go back and read the posts it may change your recollection.;)

I stand corrected most humbly.

You won't find out until you get the receipt from your home order - it should list how many clubcard points you received.

I asked a board guide to help myself and Carl establish whether this could be included in August's post of the month. It would seem the only board guide to offer any 'help' just decides to hurl some abuse around.

    Mmmmmm?

There's no hard and fast rule for nominating somebody for Post of the Month. If you think that a post deserves nominating then go for it! (The main rule is never try to lobby for people to vote for your own post - that really is in poor taste.)

The ultimate decision is made by Martin, so it is up to his discretion.

It's always nice to nominate somebody/ be nominated, even if they don't win the prize. :)

    Abuse....where?????

    Ok serious post now.

Being a board guide does not automatically exclude me from having an opinion. Nor does it say ANYWHERE that I may not POST my opinon.

These forums are to facilitate the exchange of helpful information. If a poster .....any poster, is derogative or unpleasant then they open themselves up to the risk of being pulled up for it by others. If this is not acceptable, then that person should perhaps reconsider their post.

You wrote something that I (and many others judging by the pms I received) thought was unfair. I asked for clarification as to your meaning and was surprised at the tone your reply took. There was no need for that. I was perfectly in my rights to address the comments you made and reply to them.

My last post was an indication that your latest comment was not only unfair, but inaccurate. However this time I did it in a jokey manner in an effort to lighten things up a bit.

However it has become obvious that neither rationalising nor joking will have an effect.

    It's very unfortunate.

Btw Abcon.......I apologise in advance that you have been involved in what is little more than a small tussle on a chat board. It's a shame that grown adults appear to need a referree. I shall apologise for my part in this and go and stand in the corner....suitably chastised!
