HMV - anyone else waited ages for their order?

I've never received a CD quickly from HMV and don't take any notice any more of whether it says 'in stock' or not, but just expect to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery and, if I want/need it before then, order from someone else.

I can only echo others experiences, things show as in stock then Im left waiting. Out of 3 orders I have placed with HMV over the last 12 months I have actually received just one, and that took 4 weeks to get here. I cancelled the others because they suddenly turned into "awaiting stock from supplier".

I have never had trouble apart from delays this week, probly due to the storms. All 4 outstanding yet " despatched" orders received yesterday and today, though the ones sent first came last.

Having trouble with CDWOW tho. Money taken weeks ago but not despatched.(Lost series 2)

I have placed quite a few orders with HMV and have never had any problems up until now.However I ordered an exercise dvd from them 10 days ago and it was showing as 'awaiting stock from supplier ' in my account.

I sent an email a couple of days ago and had a reply this morning apologising for the delay,but they couldn't give me any indication as to when I could expect to receive it.

So I have cancelled the order and I have now ordered from somewhere else.I shall think twice about going with HMV in future.

I've never had a problem with HMV *touch wood*

Don't get me started on those morons at Play though!
