HMV - anyone else waited ages for their order?

  • I received any email from them to say that my order wasn't even received by them, therefore it hadn't been processed. Obviously they're having problems with their ordering system.

    Those of you with pending orders should probably contact them as maybe the same has happened with you order??

    I've not received my order, had an e-mail 16 days ago to say that it had been dispatched. Contacted them & now I've had to sign an email statement to say that lost in post & if it does finally come that i will send it back (free postage).
  • I ordered an audio book 6th Dec, got it now but only after complaining bitterly:D It must have been out of stock but it took 15 working days to mention this to me. As I was fuming on their website a customer survey came up :T Let rip mightily about what a bad rep hmv has got for this sort of behaviour and generally went on and on throughout the survey (very theraputic). Was offered the option of cancelling but found item was either out of stock or 50% dearer anywhere else:eek: So I complained some more:rotfl: After Christmas I was sent an email saying sorry I couldn't wait and had cancelled my order. I hadn't. Seems they sent the wrong email.:rolleyes:

    All this aside, I had made 6 other orders for xmas prezzis etc and each one came in time. Held together by rubber bands, mind.( I love my postie:D )

    They need organising. Anyone having difficulties, COMPLAIN!!!!!

    They won't know otherwise.

    ordered 2 cds well before Xmas as Xmas presents and they arrived after Xmas:eek:

    you think i will order from them again:D

    Well, I did chase up the PSP game this afternoon and they still stated that it was on special order from their supplier, despite the website still saying it's in stock. They couldn't give me any delivery date so I cancelled. I ordered it through gameplay and it was despatched this afternoon....
    HMV have got some serious problems going on me thinks :(

    That's strange, I never had to sign an e-mail statement! :confused:

    I ordered a CD in early on in December 2007, got an e-mail 3 days later to say it had been dispatched but it never turned up. It was a nightmare trying to get through to them on the phone before Christmas, so I gave up.

    Finally got through to them on 2 January (I'd been away on holiday), told them I hadn't received it and that I wanted a refund as it was supposed to have been a Christmas present! Customer Services guy said that he'd process the refund straight away but it might not show up on my statement for 14 days. About a week later the money was refunded back into my account.

    Having said that, it was the first of many items I'd ordered from them that I'd had a problem with, but I don't think I'll be using them again.

    I ordered from them in December.. I think about the 11th Dec or so and they didnt arrive until Christmas eve.. and the things I ordered were christmas presents I was getting worried! So, yes it did takes ages for the status to change and the goods to arrive! Now I keep getting emails from them, as it seems I am now on their mailing list. I got some emails apologising for the delay, as the order took longer than expected. I think they need to get their act together, as they sent me an email the other day saying "sorry you cancelled your order" when I hadnt ordered anything!

    I placed an order with them Tuesday and it arrived today.
    Sorry you're all having problems, but thought it was only fair i showed they can get it right.
  • Yes, terrible service. Ordered an item listed as in stock, a week later it turned to 'with you within 7 days', after 2 weeks i emailed them asking if it was going to be in stock (esp considering it said in stock in the first place) and magically the item was suddenly unavailable. Why they couldnt tell me this 2 weeks before? Rather annoyed as I could have got the item elsewhere in the sales, but now everywhere is full (twice the) price.

    My Son's order arrived this morning, he actually paid extra to preorder it for delivery on release day which was 4 days ago. He won't be ordering from them again in a hurry.
