OMG I can't believe I haven't written on here for soooo long...how slack of me.
Have been doing ok, went a bit off the rails over easter and had to use some of the savings but managed to sell off an old laptop to my brother for £100 and got paid for quidco £135 so have ploughed that into the savings/debt pot.
Now I finally have enough to offer a F&F settlement but not sure this is the best thing to do. Need some advice if anyone happens to read. I have an overdraft with HSBC which although on DMP interest is still being added. The balance on this is £2060 ish. One of the other debts I have is an old car loan which is with DCA and in the past have been offered a F&F of 40% of the balance which would now stand at £1423.32.
I have currently in the debt account £1435.54 so should I pay the DCA and effectively clear £3708 which would make me feel like I have finally achieved something, or pay off the overdraft and stop some of the interest.
    Oh decisions hey!

Difficult one - think it's just how you feel really. I know I'd be tempted to clear the car loan, but the interest on the overdraft must be annoying as well!

    Hope all well

Well decided to offer money to the car loan so am waiting to see if they accept my offer for F&F settlement. Phoned CCCS and they said that if I paid off this one debt at least the payment that had been going to them monthly would then cover the interest and more of the HSBC. So hopefully the HSBC balance will start going down now :)

Feeling so positive at the moment. Had a call from Apex yesterday and they said they couldn't accept F&F settlement at £1435 and lowest they would go to was £1780 roughly and could i raise the extra money....durrr no. Anyway said well if they didn't want to accept the money I would offer it to one of my other creditors and they would continue to get paid their £40 every month for the next 10 years.....at which point she said she would speak to her manager. Suprise suprise they accepted! So I have officially paid off £3558.31 off my total debt. So today my debt stands at £10,442.39 yippeeeee just need to get sub 10k now and I will feel like im on the home straight!

Thanks Sea and Wendy....just need to pay the rest off now! DH should hear about his new job tomorrow which would give us a minimum of an extra £600 a month to throw at debts..yay
