SOOOOOO annoyed. Got a letter from a DCA on an old Lloyds bank overdraft I had nearly 6 years ago. In fact I haven't used the account for over 6 years and have heard nothing from them since 02. Not sure what to do.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

i am not sure but some people on here say if its been 6 years it might be statute barred.0

If it's over 6 years and 1 month since the last contact about it - it'll be statute barred."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Im not sure it is over 6 years. The last statement I had from them before we moved was July 02. I have never had a letter but i did go into branch sometime in 03 to try and close account but they wouldn't talk to me as I confirmed my married name and acc was in maiden name. Haven't heard from them since that last statement. I would have had Royal mail post forwarding for 6 months but I never heard anything and they may have continued to send to old address? Im in 2 minds what to do, should I just call and get them to offer me a deal? or ask for copy of signed credit agreement?I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. This is maybe statute barred, maybe not quite. I think doing nothing would be a good option.
In any event you must be careful not to acknowledge the debt. There are more details on this factsheet but be careful

I've just been on a course on the Limitation Act - happy to pass on what I know0 -
Hi Sally,
How's you? I've not been online since Mon am as DD was poorly, got called back from work. She's ok now thankfully.
