Oh MOT - poor thing.
Hope the toe feels better soon - perhaps that's the 3rd thing (although thinking about it, you must be WAY past 3 awful things now). Still, hope it's feeling better soon.
Car sounds a bit of a nightmare - but at least if it's fixed, it's fixed which is good.
Take care

Just back from collecting car and its running as sweet as anything! So its going to have a good clean inside and out tomorrow and I'm going to look on ebay for some good but cheap car mats as the drivers side one is so worn its sliding up under the pedals:eek: .locutus2003 wrote: »Oh MOT - poor thing.

The last few days I have felt quite out of sorts with the main reason being that I feel that we are becoming a burden on my friend who we are staying with - its like we have 'taken over' their house and I am very conscious of this - in fact the night before last I cried myself to sleep as I was so concerned that we had over stayed our welcome - but I just can't do anything about it until the new house is ready. My friend says that this isn't the case but when they are used to living alone then to have the twins and I here must affect the way they feel about their home. I don't want to get down anymore about things but it is all so easy to slip back into feeling that we are a 'nuisance'.Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Hi Mot
Sorry to hear about the toe - ouch!!
Now here follows a lecture:
If you were a nuisance I am sure that your friend would tell you. As they care about you and the twins very much, I doubt that they will ever find you a nuisance. Stop being so hard on yourself all the time. You are entitled to a bit of good luck so take it with open arms, embrace it and say thankyou to the gods who are looking after you.
from what you say in your posts I think your friend actually enjoys the companionship and you do things around the house, so it isn't all one way traffic.
Now chill out about this !!! That is an order.

Hey MOT
Vanda's absolutely right you know. Of course you aren't being a nuisance - don't think that you are as I'm sure it's not the case. If your friend didn't want you there they wouldn't have offered. I think living with anyone (including my DH and kids - and DH and I have been living together for 17 yrs!!!) is really tough sometimes - however well it all goes. Just don't worry about it - I'm sure your friend is extremely happy to have you and just relieved (as we all are) that things are OK and happy to give you a roof over your head.
That's probably enough lectures from all of us now!
Hope you're all enjoying this FANTASTIC weather today - absolutely beautiful here.
Take care

Thank you both - my friend has seen the post I wrote and said that we are NOT being a nuisance and that we are very much wanted here and our company is being enjoyed, so that makes me feel a whole lot better :j . Although I do keep dreaming about the new house and the LL - the night before last in my dream the LL changed his mind about letting us have the house:eek: - I do wish I could sign a tenancy agreement as that may help put my mind at rest.
My car has been cleaned inside and out and looks lovely again! Tried to treat it to some new car mats but they will have to wait a while as the ones I liked were a touch too expensive:rolleyes: . Also done all my ironing - its the first time I have had an empty ironing basket since before I moved out of the cottage in November!!!! Twins have been swimming again - they're developing webbed feet I'm sure:rotfl: :rotfl:
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and that life is treating you well - going to pour myself an aperitif before tea and put my feet up as my friend is making curry for us tonight xxChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
See - we told you so !!!!!
Glad to hear you sounding more positive again !
Don't know about your weird dreams though, I think that you are worrying a tad too much. I would also stop eating that cheese last thing at night (just in case) ;o)
Sounds like the twins have had a good half term break.
Lots of love
Vanda
Ps Hope you have a great Sunday

OMG - I've never had an empty ironing basket! If it needs ironing in this house it tends not to get worn! Heaven knows what I'll do when DS starts school!
Glad you're feeling happier.
