Car still in garage - the part that mechanic replaced last week is being replaced again by a proper Citroen one so hopefully that will sort it out, but the mechanic's FIL has been taken to hospital so may not get it back today as he needs to go with his wife :o

Just had phone call from garage - new part on but still not right. He thinks it is now the ECU at fault  and wants me to pop down to see him to discuss it as it is going to cost about £300:eek:

  • £300! Yikes! Mind you, I think that sometimes garages are incapable of any bill that isn't £300. We go to a really good garage (Ford) - we absolutely trust them so I know they aren't diddling us but it's ALWAYS £300! Perhaps they don't have another number on their keyboard?

Glad all is still well - and that you had a good weekend. Sorry IT wasn't picked. Sounds like it was fun anyway.

Right, had best get on - we've just come back from a holiday but I wanted to check all was well before I did the exciting washing! I go back to work 2 weeks today (I've been on maternity leave for 6 months and 3 weeks). Gosh, it's going to be tough going back.

Anyway, you sound so good and positive at the moment.:T Long may it continue.

    Hi All,

MOT sounds like you had fun at the studio, sounds expensive coffee though.
We are having probs with our car too. Needs new tyres first of all, then a squeeling noise like a pig is coming from the brakes, oh dear time to pay out lots more money me thinks.

Anyway just a quickie as I should be in the bath by now.

    Have a nice sleep all.

Morning MOT, don't worry too much, think how much better your hip will feel after youv'e had the treatment.
Fingers crossed your mechanic is economical.

Seen mechanic - he says it is the 'brains' of my car that has gone (bit like its owner really:rotfl: ) and that it will be 5 days before it ready  Bloomin' great - its half term!!

  • Had a succesful trip to Edinburgh, warm but windy. The TV show One -v- 100 was great fun, even if I didn't manage to get selected. Mind you some of the questions were very difficult. Do you know what the gap between your eyebrows is called? icon5.gif  What were G. Brown's first words when he became PM? icon5.gif Yeah, see! As for England -v- Italy; do you know I really don't mind when these two teams meet because whatever happens I am happy. It is only when Italy meet other teams that I really root for my paesans. Went with MOT to see D at the garage about her ailing car and it seems that a common fault with Citroens is the ECU (the brains of the car - sort of computer) which fails and has to be replaced. The part costs £275.00! Well at least D's labour charges are reasonable and he is an honest mechanic that wont rip her off. Still, it is an expense that MOT could have well done without. Annoying that MOT couldn't get her steroid injection done today. She was really hoping for some pain relief and to get back to a point where she can renew her excersise regime and lose some weight. I still think she is the most beautiful woman on earth, whatever. So MOT, stop thinking you look awful, stop running yourself down and listen to me - YOU ARE GORGEOUS - geddit? :smileyhea :lovethoug
  • Awe. anymore like you out there IT. And he is right MOT, dont be running yourself down. Not on, after all the things you have been through. And Please listen to IT. YOU ARE A SPECIAL LADY. Look you could have a body like mine. I have an hour glass figure. Problem is all the sand has sunk to the bottom. Cant have it all. I could do with a bit of sand from dolly partons hourglass up top. And she can have some of mine. xxxxx
