Anyone having trouble with Egg ppi reclaiming?

The box was pre-ticked and the account was opened in 2003 online. It seems to me that Barclays/Eggs are just issuing a template refusal letter without even investigating the claim properly.
Generally speaking, the only complaints which are not investigated are the auto-uphold variety which payout automatically below a certain floor limit set by some lenders.0 -
I had both a Loan and credit card from egg in 2006. I was aware that i signed up for PPI. I feel i was miss-sold this as when I needed to claim i was informed that i didn't qualify because i had a similar (Not the the same illness) 4 years previous. I wasn't informed that I wouldn't be covered even though i disclaimed previous illnesses.
Do you think it is worth making a claim for a refund??0 -
I am finding it extremely confusing and not sure which way I should go with this!
I took out an Egg Loan in 2002/3 (?) which I believe I paid PPI on for the first few years (loan had finished before PPI claims became public knowledge) but haven't got any of the original paperwork.
Whilst I was paying the final few months of installments 'Egg Loans' was bought out by Moorgate (Britannica-Moorgate).
Now the question is who do I need to contact regarding my PPI claim...? Egg (Canada Square Operations) or Moorgate?
Each organisation provided me with a unique reference code so should I fill out the PPI consumer Questionnaire twice (once for each organisation) or just go with one?
Please help I'm tearing my hair out over this!0 -
Had a letter on 7th December from Canada Square saying they'd send my cheque within 20 working days. Have heard nothing and had no replies to my letters.:mad:0

I had 3 egg loans:
-2001 for £4000. Have loan agreement paperwork. PPI applied.
-2002 for £7000. Have loan agreement paperwork. PPI applied.
-2004 for £10000. No paperwork but Equifax credit file states my monthly repayments (PPI 'probably' applied)
Now because I have paperwork for loans 1 & 2 stating PPI WAS applied that's great. But I don't know how I choose PPI-I would imagine the application was online (as Egg were online-based)
But I cannot be sure how Defonately don't wish to risk my claim.
Anyone know categorically how PPI was chosen/forced on online applications in 2001/2002?
Thanks loads!0 -
Hi
I've been following this thread and I need help
I had an egg card from 2004 till 2007. I'm convinced I had PPI
Does anyone know the date from when the box accepting insurance was not pre-ticked
Or what I should say in my letter to the new address at Canada Square such as I felt obliged to tick the box etc
Do I need to know how much I paid or can I just say I had PPI and would like it back0 -

Where the PPI amount is of an amount that is small enough for it to be quicker and cheaper to settle the case rather than to argue it the firm may decide to auto payout. Many banks do this. The amount can vary depending on workload and the ease of finding documentation.
This can lead to complaints with absolutely no validity whatsoever resulting in payout.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thank you for the reply.
I think I will do a letter and see what comes back, I thought at the time I had to have PPI which would have been of no use as I'm director of own company0 -
I have so far sent a claim last year that was completely ignored.
I have sent a further claim stating i will not be ignored and used some jargon off the example claim forms...
within a week I have received an apology letter stating I need to confirm my new address before they can begin the process of investigation...
sent that straight to them and now waiting.....
They said it can take up to eight weeks
I sent all claim paperwork to
