Anyone having trouble with Egg ppi reclaiming?

    Can you let me know the contact details for getting in touch with Egg, I've looked online and there seem to be quite a few different ones.

    I took out a loan with Egg back in 2003/4 and this included PPI - I was led to believe that it was compulsory and felt pressurized into taking it. I topped up this loan a few years later and it is actually due to finish in the next couple of months. Last year I received a letter saying that the outstanding balance on my loan was being transferred to another lender. My question is - who should I address an initial complaint to - Egg or the new company?

    Egg loans were transferred to Moorgate, stating that all communication should be with Moorgate. Complain to them, or all Egg will do is forward the complaint and delay the entire process. presuming there is someone still left in the Egg loans department...

    i also need help with egg as well we have sent a SAR off to barclays who i now thought owned egg and there are saying i have no account with them :-/

    AND GUESS WHAT!!! they had a full refund of over £2600 within weeks WITHOUT going FOS. This is my next step, let me know if anyone has success

    Is there anything written so to speak about the box being ticked when you applied online for the egg account as they have just wrote to me and advised that I had to have ticked the box and therefore wont process my claim, I am waiting now to hear if the FOS are going to help me,
  • Hi i was wondering if anyone could help, i followed the instructions within this site for reclaim of ppi from a previous egg loan and sent all the details off around 2 and a half weeks ago in the post. To date i have received nothing back (i would have thought at least an acknowledgement?!?) i just wondered what other peoples experiences were - did you receive an acknowledgement or should i try and contact them through different means? i called the number they advertise which refers you to the details on the site (this was to post the claim off as i did) - does anybody know off a number which will put you through to customer services?
    any help much appreciated!

    Hi there,

    I also have not heard back from Egg - sent them a letter with a cheque for SAR in the first week of June. I've just gone through to Barclays so will wait to see if that works (Barclays took over my account).

    However, someone else recommended "If you are calling Egg, don't use the options to go through to loans/credit cards as it will just give you an auto response, choose the options for savings and you should get through to a human being."

    I heard back from them within a week, but it was to ask for proof of name change - I guess I wont get stuck in the log-jam until they get that back. At least I know that they actually have it!

    Barclaycard bought egg credit cards. Moorgate bought egg loans

  • thanks for the response, i managed to talk to someone yesterday and they told me the post was behind but i should have received a response within 5 working days - i was advised to email in my request to the address below which i have done:
