this is undoubtedly the best thread,on the best forum, with the best people on the best site, on the net

Please dont change it, if it aint broken, why fix it.
we live in a world full of rules, regs and restrictions, and people lose their human touch sometimes when communicating via the net.
the boots site is a warm oasis of humanity in a cold world

    lets keep it like that.xxxxx

I'll second that Jelly Tots :D

If all posts are about glitches and whatever, and for them to benefit everyone reading this thread, they'd have to be nationwide glitches wouldn't they?

It's a rare occasion that I find a bargain, and if I do, it might only benefit one or two people. But it might make other posters look for the same offer in their local store. Posters still have to read or bypass my posts to get to the real bargains. (I'm determined to find a bargain nevertheless :D)

There's a danger that people will want to localise bargains and glitches imo, and although there's posts that don't benefit me personally, like the 'twilight shift's' posts, it still makes me happy to see them getting bargains and having some "company" - even if it is only virtual ;)

It's time I went, but please let's not get fraught over the thread. Life's too short, and I'd hate to see the moderators intervene :(

Why don't we all have a nice cup of coffee and lighten up? :)

  • I'm a newbie too and I love this thread popping in as much as I possibly can just to keep up

I have been made welcome and have also received Pm's from people off of this thread with everyone being so helpful

I think it will change the whole flow of this thread if they make it into 2, I would prefer it stayed as it is

200 points when you buy any product from the Soap and Glory SPA range
100 points when you buyfrom the LEe Stafford Haircare range (excludesminis)
100 points whn you buy Boots Feel the Difference Co Q10

I really would like to keep the costs down if I can

    Any help would be wonderful

    Thank you

    Hi Christina

Soap & Glory and third off their stff at the moment. They have a box set at £10 which is selling at £6.66 atm. This is really good value has there is a lip gloss in which to buy on its own is £8. Another mse'r pointed me in the right direction when I asked if any offers on S&G. There is also a smaller box at £5 which I think at the moment sells for £3.33. Either would make lovely pressies to put away for christmas etc. personally I like the larger box hence I've bought 4 boxes:D

With my Soap & Glory Spa pts voucher I got a green shower wash, it was £3.33 and I love it. I think it smells really nice however others disagree!

And just on the chat matter, personally I like the chat to an extent. I feel that each morning at 5 o'clock there is excess chat, where people just post things like 'lurk' and 'morning all'. I feel that this therefore wastes 2-3 pages which I just skip so I don't have to read it, therefore if people want to post the chit chat then they should be free to do so and if people don't want to read it then just skip it. You can easily skim read the posts and find which are useful and which are just chat. Just my opinion.
  • I have just come back from Boot in Swiss Cottage - and I got a night cream for £1.70 plus 400 points. Brilliant!!

    Many thanks for posting

  • I think the chat is what makes this thread, gives it a real community feel and I like it. If it were 'no chat' where would we draw the line?? Hearing about what glitches and offers everyone has picked up is all part of the Bootsing game!

I say stay as we are, welcoming everyone. Otherwise it'd be cold and boring lol

I managed to get the nivea Q10 today at my local store, had earlier tried Silverburn to no avail, but struck lucky at my smaller Boots. Picked up six, SA was very surprised at the cost and her eyes nearly popped out her head when she saw my points total (from 0 to 2440). Also got the £5 vocucher, not what can I spend this on?

When i went back later ( I did leave some on the shelves), totally empty, I think the SA cleared them, she had been that surprised!

    Hi ruby :)

Have you any idea how long the 1/3 off offer is on for pls? I bought a couple of things yesterday to make the basket up to £10 ;) but I really like the look of it as a gift for someone.

    TIA.
