Thanks ms london, loved hearing about your travel update, still livin' the dream you lucky thing!!!!
Well I've been absent from mse as I've been working over the weekend, we were due to have viewers for our house on saturday but they cancelled 15 minutes before the viewing:mad: . However.......
About 1 hour ago we got a call from the EA saying they had another couple who wanted to view and they came straight round (this couple have just sold their house to a cash buyer). The EA has been on the phone to say they want to put an offer in, it's a bit less than what we wanted to take but all the same in this climate we can't be too choosy as we really NEED to sell if we want to be together as a family. I've just told OH who is a bit surprised by it all and wants to sleep on it. I now feel incredibly sad and shaky, I've tried not to get attached to this house but my DS2 was born here and we've been very happy here.Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
It's so good to hear from you at this stage in your game. When I look at my plans to pay off my debt, 2 years seems like such a long time ..... but to see where you started and where you are now I am truly inspired.
WELL DONE - Congratulations :TLightbulb moment: 1st Jan 2008

D&DD just seen your debt total, wow! You've done well too! I never really thought I'd see the end in sight so soon, however I'm not going to forget how difficult it's all been.
We have just had another viewing! Blooming heck! These purchasers weren't in such a good position (not yet sold their house) but at least we're now getting viewings. We have been in discussion with our EA's about the offer we had yesterday and have told them we want just a little bit more and gave them the amount we would accept. It's probably not the right way to do it but we are soooo close to it and we figure if they really want it we'll have a deal. So tomorrow we have lined up 7 properties to view during the day so OH and I are going to have a busy day just hope the satnav gets us to them on time!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
Good grief it's all happening!!!!
We have just had ANOTHER viewing! Very positive too. The first couple that viewed yesterday came back with an asking price offer. Excellent! But....they haven't been able to accept their cash buyers offer - it's just too low for them to be able to afford ours at the moment so that looks like a no-go at the moment. The couple that came round at midday loved it and the EA said they would have put in an offer but haven't had an offer for theirs yet. This evening was another spur-of-the-moment viewing a couple who have sold their 2 houses. They put in an offer within 30 minutes of the viewing!!! Too low unfortunately for us to accept, we have told the EA we need another £5K. We have reduced the price to the absolute minimum that we can accept but in doing so have left no room for negotiation on price. It's getting people through the door though and hopefully we'll hear back from this evenings viewers tomorrow. If not then both the EA and we feel very confident an asking price offer is not too far away. Yippee....I think
