  • Hello All

Signed up with E7 on their 2MB Biennial deal and everything set for the end of the month when our exchange is enabled....can't wait (although knowing BT it's a likely prospect!!)

Anyway, process was smooth and I had all the necessary e-mails straight away.

"And you just happened to feel that strongly about it, that you registered in order to post the fact?. Are you sure you aren't the OP using a new alias?"

Actually, I signed up recently for three reasons, at least!

I wanted to join E7 through Mike's referral code, and secondly I had thought that by signing up for the newsletter ages ago, I was already a registered member. However, when I tried to post I was told that I needed to register, which I would have done originally if I had realised.

I also would like to post offers/deals occasionally, as I did yesterday.

Hope I've been able to continue the intrigue!!

    Cheers

    Chris

This post needs to get back on topic or be closed. It is becoming too controversial and off topic.

    regards,

Hi I saw a post about this ISP yesterday but it looks like its been taken off. It looks cheap for any user who are heavy downloaders. 2mb line is only £10 for a limited period. I think there was a referal code in the referal forum. There no download limit. Just want to know if anyone had a good butchers at this, what do you think? I originally was going for plusnet but they download speed for p2p put me off.

To get back to the original topic... It may not be capped at the moment but it is in thier T&C so they can implement it at anytime. If you sign up for 2 years and then they implement throttling on P2P and introduce a cap you wouldnt have a leg to stand on and you would be tied for the duration of the contract. A bit of a gamble from my point of view. Remember a lot of ISP were uncapped (BTYahoo, Talk Talk, Tiscali to name a few) but used the fair usage policy to introduce limits and then rolled out capped products when thier customer base was well established.

  • I'm with E7even and have been since the first week of June. It has also been my first experienceof broadband and I have to say I'm really happy with the service.

Despite my ignorance about everything techie and broadband - and a few little hiccups (all my fault) they have been great.

That would make E7even better still - priority for those of us with better things to do with our lives than clog up the internet with P2P traffic

As the Board Guide for the Telephone Boards its been quite upsetting to come back from holiday and read a thread like this one and be accused of be being a "jobsworth", "letting the job get to them" and "wielding power"

What many newer users won't know is that prior to the appointment of Board Guides on most of the boards the Telephone Boards in particular were constantly full of referral posts in one way or another and this very much annoyed regular users of all the Telephone Boards.

The Referral Board is there for referrals and there the rules state that any referral for one company must be made on the same thread and so any poster who adds to the e7even thread is doing so correctly and should not be casticated for doing so, nor the BG there for merging it with the existing one.

The rules are there for all users and are applied fairly by myself and abcon to all users, often after discussion between us and in the case of new users they are usually pm'd to point out why a post has been edited or deleted.

There are many very helpful users on the Telephone Boards who spend a lot of time and energy posting to point newbies in the direction of the best deal beit for Home Phones or Mobile Phones or Internet for absolutely no gain other than a thank you from the user and the satisfaction of helping someone. Help on here should not depend on a referral fee, usually it doesn't and for that I thank all the Telephone Boards users, too many to mention and it was great to see two users get the Post of the Month for June.

And now I am going to wield my Board Guide powers and lock this thread ;)
