To be fair, they get that kind of fraud quite often. Someone finds a till receipt, goes into a shop, steals something, damages it, and then takes it back to get a replacement.

    I don't think.

    dont you mean refund?
otherwise why damage the one you stole?

    That's exactly my point.
  • As an employee of H&B I can assure you, that nobody would be treated like that in my store. The correct procedure would have been for the manager to send off a hotline form with the product and you would have received a prompt and satisfactory response from our head office by post. I suggest you make a complaint to customer services regarding your treatment and it will be dealt with accordingly. Holland and Barrett take customer service very seriously and this sounds as if it could warrant some disciplinary action. I apologise for your experience.

I thought that until I saw the " I dont think" at the bottom of the post.

RE: the recording, I assume the store has CCTV, which means the store manager knows his actions are being recorded, ony he thinks its just by him, the fact there is another camera in the OP's possession shouldn't matter, the CCTV warning covers the fact that the manager knows his actions are being recorded. (my opinion, not based on any knowledge)

This is a two year old thread guys, so I doubt the OP is still around. It does reflect badly on H and B though, I must admit. Now it's been bumped to page one, lots more people are going to read it too.
