in efect what they have done is theft
you have paid for an item which you have not got
i would go back to the store and speak to the manager and point out the offending staff
if nessecary the head office can back track on the cctv that they have in the store to confirm your story
i would go back with someone else preferably a man - theres a saying that theres strength in numbers and dont leave until you get your money back
even if they call the police which they might do then state fine - call the police because you have stolen from me which is a criminsal act.0 -
I just did something very naughty but covered my butt - went back into the store with my OH (thank you kill bill) and asked to speak to the manager. They said they had already been 'made aware of the situation' and there was nothing he could do. I explained all over and basically said he was stealing and why. By this time I think he was just trying to be right...how on earth could he think he was?!?
Anyway...My other half and I start playing good cop bad cop (by accident) and im trying to be polite and he is saying he will call the police as it is against the law yadayada. Then the manager lets loose - says and i quote 'tough !!!!' there is nothing i can do and now there is no proof that it ever existed and no one can back me up and he called the securtiy for the centre.
This is where the quote 'revenge is sweet' comes from. The security basically believed in everything they said and also said with no evidence I can't prove otherwise. "Whopps" I said "Did I forget to mention I've had my tape going the whole time? My sister who uses it in her lectures let me borrow it. Would you like me to play it back?" (my sisters idea) The managers face dropped so quickly i couldn't help but laugh. Offered me a refund straight after that but then had the nerve to ban me from the store.
Told him kindly that I wouldnt be shopping there again...but i might forward my tape to make sure HO is aware of management issues.
