I got some of their EPA fish oils yesterday. When I got home half of the capsules were loose and leaking everywhere. Went back today with the receipt asking for a replacement (note that it isnt a refund) and they said I had clearly done it myself and that they will be holding on to them to stop me form trying else where.
HUH? I shop there all the time. They even know that. Why in bunnys name would I get capsules, take them home, pry them apart and leak everywhere then trek all the way back into town...just to ask for a replacement?!?

Shop elsewhere, there are several suppliers who offer stronger Omega 3 fish oils at better prices anyway (simplysupplements, healthspan etc).0

so wait a minute, you have bought something and they have taken it off you without offering a refund or replacement?
they cant do that.
you have paid for something you havent got.
You will struggle now proving that they took them off you though- unfortunately, you shouldnt have let them keep them, its your word against theirs.
I suggest you shop elsewhere and make sure you tell everyone what they are like0 -
They kept your item that you had paid for? I take it they didn't give you a refund? Did they give you a receipt for the item?
If I were you, I would phone HO (the details will be on the internet somewhere) and explain to them (very politely) exactly what happened.
They might have thought you had caused the damage deliberately (but why, if you only wanted a replacement?), but they certainly should NOT have taken your property from you.0 -
did you get your money back though? Flax seed oil is also good in omega 3, one tsp a day. Not sure where you could get that from though apart from holland and barrett.
I think if you do like holland and barretts products, but don't want to go back to that shop you can buy online. I, not sure what the p&p is though
Im not much help, sorry0 -
I still have the receipt but not the item. They refused to give it back - a replacement - or a refund. At one point they basically accused me of picking up the receipt, stealing the pot, breaking them and trying to get a refund. I wanted a replacement! I made it very clear.
I kicked up a fuss and they threatened to get security (it's a shopping centre). I had no fight left in me...you know when you feel that anger bubbling and you know its best to call it a day...that was my pointDebts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]

WOOOOOOOOW u shoulda made em call security. they cant take the item off u without giving u a replacement. so u have no money, no item and a useless receipt...
y didnt they replace it?!0 -
Write to head office and complain tell them that you will take it to the Small Claims Court and state that the shop staff refused to give you the faulty item back that is by law yours. So you will sue them for all this. And make sure you start telling everyone to boycott it then contact your local Trading Standards.
O did you pay via card, if so do a charge back.0 -

Good luck on the whole thing, did you get any names. Plus if you really want demand the security tapes for the Small Claims Court. You can claim for damages as well so with the staff stating that you stole it to get money.0
