It will if he needs to make a claim or someone makes a successful claim against him!
(Future premium increase and some loss of NCD if it's unprotected)0 -

that additional driver has third party cover
There is your answer.
If the driver is covered by his own insurance - you need to check as it isn't always the case- and he has an accident which damages both cars , then his insurance will cover the other car but not your car.
Your insurance won't cover it .
So he or you have to pay for repair to your own car.
Imagine of he wrote off your car?0 -

I also just sold our T4 Campvervan. This had been insured for 32 days with Safeguard / Swinton at a cost of £311. They charged £25 cancellation fee.
My refund was £213. Reasonable deal. Would use them again.1 -
Hi everyone, I have a convertible car which I want to hire out, Can anyone drive this on their own insurance or do I need specific insurance to do this? I am happy to hire this on a third party only basis if this will help avoid unnecessary costs.
Thanks

If you allow your customers to hire your car with just third party cover who will reimburse you if the car is written off due to the hirer, and the hirer unable to reimburse you it's market value??0

Hey all,
New member, I've tried searching on here and Google etc, can't find an answer.
Basically, I have a company van to carry out my normal job role. if I was to make a non fault/fault claim under the company I work for, would I need to let my personal car insurance know? If yes, surely that's unfair? As its the companies premium that would go up?0 -

Would it be the company that crashed the van or you?All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0
