Afternoon everyone,
i don`t think that i will do the veg in the sc with the chicken again unless i am making hash etc.
Everything tastes the same and is far too mushy - a lesson learned by me lol
The chicken went a long way though, 4 dinners 4 days worth of sandwiches, 2 stirfrys and a big pile for the hounds.
I didn`t make stock with the carcass this time as i have a freezer full and no where to put any more, the dogs loved all the juice though.
It`s turned out lovely and sunny but very cold the weather is on telly at the moment and it says it will rain later on though, better make the most of it.
Have a good afternon all.

Oh well, the wonders of modern technology.

Popped in the pub for a quick coffee and then home...............then computer thought it would make my day....................typical !!!
So here's hoping...........

Afternoon all
I am only in the office today this week - tomorrow and Wednesday I have booked off, and Thursday and Friday I will be on a course in London...I have a really really really big fear of escalators (well going down them anyway!) - I think my fear is that I will fall and break my neck...I am determined to overcome this though, so am gearing myself up to tackle this fear...I am leaving myself more than enough time to get to my destination, and will be on my own which will help (I find having someone with me makes me even more nervous) To people who travel on the tube everyday I must sound like a total wimp, but there are things in life that are totally normal to some people, but are a big problem to others.
Anyway, where was I? Today I have mostly been clearing out my office, and tidying up a few loose ends - I've got a big stack of filing to do but I think I'll wait until next Monday to do that! Bought some No7 bargains in Boots on Friday night - sent hubby back at lunchtime today for some moreDinner tonight is very easy - poached eggs and beans on toast (not what was on the menu plan originally, I've had to rejig things a bit!) Will stick a few more bits on eBay tonight and do a bit more decluttering

Afternoon all,
DD2 gone to do theory test to get driving license so DGD1 is minding me....won't be 3 until next Sunday and refuses any kind of help in dressing, doing up buttons, going to the toilet or taking things up and down stairs " you stay there Maime! and I will do it myself", I presume that there will be war when new baby arrives as she will see no reason why she can't carry it around!
Guest is going home to-morrow for at least a few days, she is going to stay with a friend for 10 days then, can't seem to get it across to her that she needs to be at home if she expects to get rent allowance...or that she needs to do a budget...she doesn't even know how much her various DDs to pay bills are each month, either individually or totally!
Dinner today is roast lamb, courtesy of OH, who thought that he was paying €2.95 for half leg...only realised that it was € 12.95! My budget for January is spent so will enjoy the lamb!
Hugs to all in need or want

Right....freezer audit done and the shopping list made out from the menu plan, so Friday morning it will be Mr T's I am just about to see what supermarket. com says about the cost. I do have a couple of vouchers, but have you notices that Mr T has started giving points rather than money vouchers???
Will not manage to get the the sewing machine today maybe tomorrow. the chap has been and fitted the shunt to the radiator.......at last they have been and repaired the roof in my friends flat and she has the ceiling light reconnected.........so lets hope that the end of the matter. Not holding my breath..........
Made a chocolate sponge suprise for supper, its got a tin of peaches in the bottom, I bought the chocolate sponge mix ages ago, found it in the cupboard when I was looking for something else....................smells delicious
OH managed to get sorted at the bowls club although when the work will be done heaven only knows...they have to put a sle levelling screed down in a building they renovated last year. The floor is like a ducks b*m.........there is no electricity, so its going to be installed sometime in the next 6 - 8 weeks.
watch this space.
OH has again spoken to the insurance people, he did not tell them he has written and complained to CS. They obviously did not believe him when he gave them his tax code, she told him that she had not had time to ring the tax people today, I'm not suprised if they have made as big a mess of everyone elses payments as they have of ours. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hi everyone. Just sat having a cuppa, hectic day really. Just been to post office and have my DD with me as she has got herself grounded for a few days. She will learn!!! OH expected home later tonight, it's all a bit mad at the moment!!! I suggested to him that we might have an early night tonight, and he said, 'only if you can drag yourself away from mse.'!!! the upshot of the conversation was that he says all I talk about is mse!!! (which I translated that I think he thinks I'm boring!!!)
So I wonder whether he'll want to talk to me when he gets home if I'm so boring. He doesn't think I'm boring when I'm saving us 100s of £££!!! & 75% off our insurance!!!
Finally got some rice pudding in sc, found some pearl barley in back of cupboard to experiment with...Is it used to bulk out meals???
Hope you're all having a good day.
Well done brogusblue on your george foreman rotisserie-sounds like a brilliant find. I still haven't got round to locating a freecycle near where I live. so much to do and so little time!!
