Thought i'd share something my son said to me. He was talking about different things having different smells (we were in a shop queue at the time so I was very worried! Lol). He said that oranges smell very fresh...ok, I could go with that one. Grandma smelt off ...I was starting to get worried....but all was ok, Grandma smells of Grandma. Then he said our cat smelt of alarm clocks. I was trying to suss that one out and he couldn't explain. Then, at 7 o'clock this morning he comes rushing in to our bedroom shouting...see, she wakes me up every single morning for a cuddle...that's why she smells of alarm clocks! Bless him xx

Spare room fit for a king. Well it's tidy and decluttered to the tune of 2 bags for give aways/charity shop, one large bag of shredding and two carriers of worthless rubbish. I'm happy with that for now.
The rug has come up lovely; Stardrops foam did the trick and I'm wishing I hadn't spent money on carpet cleaning spray now. It even says on the back of the bottle it's suitable for soft furninshings.
Having a last ditch attempt with the errant BM - yesterday's compacted soggy bottomed lump is soaked and out for the birds (crows and a brave blackbird). I'll have to go and rant on the BM thread if it fails again.
Only the ironing left to do tonight and I'm at the dentist in the morning so I'll have a whole 2 hours extra at home before work. Yippee!!

Catch you all on the new thread. Scared and excited all at the same time!

    Well done Solway!

Mudbath - if you was a bird and you saw a person plucking the feathers out of a bird much bigger than yourself in your garden would you think it was a good place to get your dinner?

Mudbath - That's lovely about cats and alarm clocks. Unfortunately one of my cats would be an alarm clock at about 2am given half a chance so she gets shut in the kitchen at night. The other one would come upstairs too but he would sit quietly on the end of the bed and not disturb you at all.

I've had too much me time today, all on my own since 5.30 am. I do like some time alone but you can have too much of a good thing. Just had a nice hot bubble bath but the dog insisted on coming up and lying on the floor next to the bath because she doesn't like it when DH is out all day. She doesn't mind during the week but not at weekends. How does she know the difference?

Just got to switch the oven on later for tea, I'll turn it on when Time Team starts and then the cottage pie should be ready by the end. If he's not home by then it will just have to keep warm for him.

Off to have a nosy at the new thread.

Well done Solway woohoo! :T awww bless him Mudbath x
  • Just doing a quick update of my list - not as much as i hoped i would get done, but then again, it never is, but more than i had done on friday so better than nothing, and i will plod on for a bit longer when DS is in bed soon. Just having my last go-go juice for the day, and then will put him to bed and make another start - there have been a lot of them today. ;)

mudbath that was a really cute thing for your DS to say - mine has been quite cute - actually doing little jobs for me like getting his own bib out, and putting things in the bin, which isn't bad for a 15 month old.

we are another lot here who don't feed the birds for fear of the cats getting them, which is a real shame as we were bought a lovely bird feeder as one of our wedding presents.

    weekend list of terror!

Evening, popping in to this one before I hop over to the new thread. Well the day didn't go to plan, went to the Metro Centre instead, got stuck in traffic because of an accident but got there eventually. Did a costco shop for cheese because I am sure I live with mice, £35 worth of cheese, wondering if it will last the month this time! Got myself an Actifry too, been putting it off and putting it off but then I just couldn't resist :D £99.86 in Costco, £149.99 in Argos!!! so will be playing with that tomorrow. Got myself a new black bra too, oh and I've gone down a size too from the looks of things, so maybe that is where some of the 7kg has gone from! (DP not happy!) Kids spent their birthday money on some games they wanted :D not big bulky toys which they have loads of anyway. Then went out for dinner so no cooking for me either :D now that is what I call me time, not having to cook!

So as far as study goes, I opened the study planners, does that count ? :rotfl:

Mudbath, that is soooooo cute :) you'll have to make a book of all the cute things he says, and funny ones of course.
One day I might be more organised...........
