:rotfl::rotfl:Hahaha! I wish, save me having to clean up the yard every day.

Living by myself I tend to only do stuff for me!:p My main 'desire' is to buy a saxaphone and learn to play. I've promised myself that when my debts are clear that is the first thing I'm going to do (then I've got a long list after that, new stereo, new sofa, new bed etc etc!) I took one more step towards that saxaphone today...I've posted the cheque to pay off HFC 1! :D

Well done on clearing a debt Raph!!! Go you :beer::beer:

  • Reporting in Sgt Pigpen!

Have had a couple of mooches around town and completed some long overdue shopping. Now have been childfree for a couple of hours whilst DS & DH out doing ?? (not sure!). So have got dinner underway, done some batch cooking for the freezer, vat of soup cooking and choccie cake in the oven. Productive and fun to do.

Now going to find my office, desk, floor and the bin!!

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Mudbath - I feed the birds. Two weeks might not be enough time for them to get used to the sight of the new feeders. I am using fatballs (6 for 99p from Lidl) in a dense shrub at the moment (no leaves) and they love them - lots of small birds. I put bread/scraps in the same place on the ground for the bigger birds each day and they are sometimes eating it before I get back through the kitchen door.

I don't feed the birds because of my cats (seems like luring them down to die :() but I do have a birdbath. One of the cats drinks from it.....but I did see a blackbird using it yesterday. That's about the second bird I've seen using it in about 10 years.

MOJ2.. in about 10 minutes.. when I have finished fiddling with my fruit and veg.

I've bought the fruit etc for the pack ups for tomorrow.. there were no bananas though.. I asked if the monkeys had been in and bought them all and my sis who works in there was saying they'd been up the tree and we went off on a banter which could have been taken as very un-PC.. given we live in an area with a very high percentage of ethnic minority groups.. but monkeys and bananas go together.. (horses have been in when they run out of my favourite apples.. and orangutangs when they have no oranges.. and bunnies if they have no green stuff).. Anyway.. her boss was laughing at us 2 laughing... he said he didn't think I EVER laughed.. PMSL.. that is really funny because I'm a right giggler!! He loves it when my sis and I are together.. we are very badly behaved!

Hubby on DW duty.. the gammon is in the oven (I got up too late to put it in the SC)

Hmmm me time - I tend to have some of this every day! Being disabled I sit and stitch as often as I can. But today DrDragon took me to a garden centre to a) get some wood for the fire (toasty Dragon!) and b) pick up some herbs for the garden, so we can have nice herby food!

  • It took weeks for the birds to find the bird table and feeders last year. This year there's been very few birds compared to all the hedge sparrows the came visiting last year.

I don't know whether being mild weather they aren't needing to find food elsewhere like bird tables etc than perhaps they would if it was cold and the ground was solid.
