Knee deep in shredding here. Decided to do a little in the spare room and now I can't stop. Feels good though! Discovered a couple of things I didn't know while flinging old paperwork.. I don't pay water rates in March or April, thank you very much. My matress and pad are ten years old..shame. New matress pad earmarked with the 'savings' on the water rates then. How simple was that?!
I also found the reciept from my sofa. Paid cash (I used to have cash you know.. sob.) at a unit in an industrial estate in Warwickshire. I wonder if he's still there 'cos I'm desparate to see if I can get replacement covers for it. Threadbare from too many washes and cat clicked to high heaven.

Jill, what a shame about the godparents. My bro has just asked me to be Godmother for Isaac in April. I tried to suggest it's usual to ask friends with money who'll spoil him or at least can give them a godly upbringing. He's a romantic sort my bro and apparently I may be poor but am rich in personality and I could give him a moral upbringing because he's sure I've got some morals somewhere. I think I've been complimented but not so sure.
I'll have to have a haircut too before April. Well done Pigpen for biting the bullet, you can have around of applause if you go through with it!

Freezing cooked quorn things (was that Jill again?) that's fine too. It's not so much the freezing of anything its the slow defrost afterwards that wakes any harmful bacteria and lets them multiply to a toxic level. So long as things are 'piping hot' as they say, you can safely eat them. Trust me, I used to be a microbiologist. Not a food one though but I'm still alive :rotfl: Feel free to correct me though.

Heavens I'm rabbiting, can you tell I've not seen a soul all day. Back to the spare room!

  • If people are PMing to disclose LJD's new identity can i also be told please. I am feeling a bit slow on the uptake, but i guess thats because of the amount of stuff i have going on at the minute.

DS didn't have a nap - we left him for 30 mins in the cot, and he was just playing in there with no sign of sleeping so he's back up and running around. Feeling a bit poopered from concentrating so hard this morning. I guess i had best try and do a bit more marking this afternoon, although it sounds like DH is settling in front of some sport - rugby? Can't see from here. Between us if we keep half an eye on him each, he should play ok.

Just going to finish this latest cuppa. In the next couple of hours i need to peel some veg and have dinner done for 5 (shop bought pie) then shear charlie and do bath/bedtime. Also, will try to mark the y7 test. save lesson planning and hair washing for this evening. Oh, and must not forget ironing

*sings to the tune of So long, farewell*

    I'm done, I'm done,
Can get up off my bum.
    I've planned, gone mad,
    No longer feeling glum!

Thanks to all who gave me hugs. Am off to get the final bits at Lidl that I didn't get yesterday, and the rest of the day will be pure "me time". Hope everyone else has got out of the fed up corner.

    Hugs to you all!

Right.. your lists for next week are sorted.. oh you are in for a fun week!! Yes there is a room switch.. only Friday is the same.. kind of! ;)

Solway.. rabbit away.. it gives me something to read andmeans I don't have to move.. :D.

My ebay junk it at £178 now.. won't you all be delighted when it has all ended lol... I will..

We met an old friend in the pub last night.. he was absolutely slaughtered and got fed up waiting to be served he went behind the bar.. poured himself a drink and got himself thrown out.. pmsl.. he told the doorman I was his wife.. which they know isn't true.. nice to know some people never change!

I MUST move.. but really can't motivate myself to actually do it!

I have also decided I am going back to do something at college after summer.. and maybe even a short course after easter.. I'll see what is being offered. I now need to decide what to do. I am not going to do the dressmaking again.. it isn't my fort!.

    Hello!
My husband is plucking a pheasant in the garden and then preparing it in the kitchen....please tell me i've made no typing errors with that! Now I don't mind eating meat but I like the 'doesn't look like an animal' type of meat. My DS, on the otherhand, is getting stuck in. I've told him I want a spotless kitchen so that'll be that room done for next week.

Does anyone out there feed the birds. I put my feeders up two weeks ago and am lucky to get three birds a day. What am I doing wrong? I've sighted it in the right place and feeding proper seed, help! I want birds! xx
