Warning My Car Has Been Stolen

the best way is to buy a lockable key box, you put all your keys in there and screw it to the wall, Then you have one key to access all the other keys, which you can keep in your bedside table or a secret place or around your neck.
But locking your doors and windows will generally keep them out in the first place.
OP you didn't say how they got in?0 -

OTOH I seriously doubt some kids would steal a car like a Subaru outback and just joyride it. IMO likely to have been a purpose for it at some point to make the criminals money, otherwise they wouldn't bother (unless the criminals are a bit dim or forgot to bring their own cars to take the other stuff).0 -

Yeah, one but two? Well I supose Christmas could come early
More like just any high value car for ringing/breaking and if you've got the keys, well...............
What was thast film? gone in 60 seconds? even they didn't find 2 in the same place. No consolation though.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
I agree with cyclone, I think these were just opportunist thieves, they saw nice cars, they tried the back door, found it unlocked, took the keys and anything else they saw they fancied, and dissappeared into the night.
Parked the cars up, with intention to return to them at a later date. A shame the police could not have done something to the the one found with tracker, i.e. leave it there but have the tracker system go to red alert as soon as it moved, then swoop in and nab the scum.0 -
I have read somewhere that its not unknown for thieves to remove the tracking system and wire it up to a scrap battery at the side of the road. If this is true then it shows the thieves themselves aren't the best.0

I'd be wary of hiding the keys / putting up a fight for them. There was a similar theft (of a very similar car) discussed on the motoring forum Honest John..0

Ouch nasty.0 -
Nasty and I suspect quite rare, but I don't live in one of our metropolis hell holes. Notice the 30 min response time - disgusting, for an "armed robbery in progress".
I'm happy with my cheap and cheerful cars. Get me comfortably from A to B and back again, and at a heck of a lot cheaper (in fuel) than these expensive cars.0 -

Not that that is of any use to you at all though, best of luck. Glad you were smart enough not to give out any further info. How did they get your phone no?, do they have any other personal details?
 I think its sad when you work so hard to get some nice things in life and then you get shafted!!!
I have just wasted today driving round Rutherglen looking for my car and no joy and I feel devistated0 -

All seems so unfair0
