Options
 My Husband and I both had our cars stolen from outside our house on Friday night between the hours of 4am-5am the theives came into my house while we were asleep and took our keys for both cars, they also took my sons digital camera and our digital camera(which was a wedding gift) my husbands car had his lap-top with all his work:mad:
my car had the kid seats and some toys. We phoned the police and our insurance as soon as we noticed the cars were gone but the insurance cant do anything until Monday because there crime department is not on at the weekends:eek:
I just wanted everyone to be aware that this is going on, we live on a very quiet street in the perthshire region, my husbands car has a tracker on it and has been found in the Glasgow area (we have not got it back yet)but my car is not been seen yet.Perhaps mine is in the same area
If any one out there spots a champange Subaru 2.5SL Outback with leather interior SN05 NFE can you please get in touch with the Police.
Please Lock all your doors and keep your keys for your car hidden and try and stay safe its the horrible thought of what else could have happened let me know if any one has any info thanks pm me please

Your car is unlikely to be spotted sorry to say. Either it will now have fake plates, or more likely, be somewhere being pulled to pieces for the parts to be sold abroad. It's likely it's been stolen to order unfortunately.0

Something to consider,as it may apply to others, if not the op, is if your car is stolen from your driveway and you have insured it as being garaged at night, you will have a problem with the insurance people.
I know loads of people whose garages are full of junk and there, is no room for the car, they are often unaware of the potential consequences. If you tell the insurance co. you park on the drive over night, there is no problem as they charge additional premiums. There are two sides to every story.

Did you have any house keys on the car keys? If so get your locks changed ASAP. It happened to my old boss years ago, they broke into the house & stole both sets of car keys & house keys. They only managed to take one car due to being disturbed but the insurance company refused to pay to have the locks on the car or house changed.0

When I spoke to my insurance company the other day, they told me it makes no difference where you park it despite the question still being asked. He told me that aren't based on that anymore so it's the same price whether you park on the drive or in the garage. It's more down to postcode than anything.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

But having a garage you could not possibly use to park the car in could well invalidate the insurance, as you have obviously lied about where you usually park, and that's considered insurance fraud.0

Whats the point? I keep mine near the front door so that whilst they can not be reached from outside if anyone comes in the house with the intention of stealing the cars they can take them. I'd rather not risk my own personal safety for something that can be easily replaced by it's insurance policy.0
