On prices alone (i.e. not including discounts)

    Gas:
    Click 4: T1-5.942, T2-5.492, T3-2.492
    Click 5: T1-5.905, T2-2.477, T3-2.477
I can't find the discounts for Click 4, but on prices alone Click 5 is cheaper...

    Elec:
Anyone know where I can find out what my "supply area" is?

You could check your current prices on your bill against your current suppliers price list and see which area those prices are for;) .

    For me...
    Click 4 electric, t1 = 18.427 t2 = 7.970
    click 5 electric, t1 = 22.706 t2 = 7.051
    all pre vat
will dig out last bill to see usage and compare, was on the click 3 until last week when I moved across to click 4 (as 4 was cheaper than 3 then) and got £40 cashback via quidco, will have to see which works out cheaper..
    thanks

My latest bill only has the old Click 4 prices on, not the new ones as shown on the pdf on the BG site so unfortunately I haven't a clue what prices I am currently paying.....

Which reminds me, aren't they supposed to e-mail / write and inform me that my prices are going up, not just do it without telling me?

So click 5 is looking a lot more expensive for Electricity but cheaper for Gas.

However once into Tier 2 on electricity Click 5 is cheaper.

Just done a quick calculation based on 125 units @ Tier 1 and 179 @ Tier 2 (my last bill)

Click 4 was £4.78 cheaper (before discounts and VAT) but that said, that was a bill for just 49 days so a normal quarterly bill would have had more Tier 2 units which Click 5 is cheaper for.

    Hmmmm decisions decisions.....

I notice in their terms and conditions booklet paragraph 8.1 says if they change prices they will write to customers "beforehand" who then have 14 days from the date of that letter to inform them you are changing suppliers and then the new price does not apply.

Presumably many letters will not arrive until the 14 day period has already elapsed. So anyone thinking of changing had best do it sooner rather than later.

    Hi there.

In January I switched my supplier to British Gas Click Energy 4.

After watching Martins TV program advising people to log on for a better energy deal so I set to work to see if I can get a better price for my electricity.

Going between the various online price comparison websites I keep getting different results which isn't helping matters. Are all suppliers now more expensive than British Gas Click Energy 4?

The more research I do the more Im getting confused. I cook, heat and heat my water with electricity but I'm having problems working out what my annual KW usage is as I believe under Click Energy 4, I pay on a monthly basis for the electricity I have used that month and therefore I cant say I use a set amount each month throughout the year.

I phoned up BG to confirm the prices I was paying and was advised to look at their website. I did get confirmation I was on Click Energy 4 but also told my eBill will be sent every quarter?

As Im in Yorkshire according to the BG website I am paying 18.853 for T1 for the first 125 KWh per qtr and 7.972 for T2. This seems to be cheaper than the new CE5 tariff. What does this mean? Will the CE4 tariff rates change or have British Gas "Closed the door" to new applicants only offering them CE5 while keeping existing CE4 customers on the CE4 tariff?

I'm sure it wasn't as confusing last time.

You help would be appreciated as I fear im missing a few bits of the jigsaw
