after speaking to a truley obnoxious BG person yesterday who reduced me to tears of frustration over this whole issue i then recieved an email about 2 minutes ago

says that various fields were missing from my online profile and was the cause of the system error - that i should try again and it should go through no problem

so i tried and it did !!!! im thrilled - yes small thing but hey the £60 from quidco will pay for me to have my meter changed to help bring down my bill further

receiving a bill last week for £213 for 3 months scared the life out of me !!

so ive paid the bill in full to avoid having my monthly direct debit put up to £96 (eekk) ive now changed tariff and ive also arranged for my 2 tier meter to be changed to a single rate
ive also ordered a whistling kettle - with all thesethings in place the elec bill should once more be under control !!

    amen

so now im frantically clicking refresh on my quidco account waiting to see if it has tracked after all this palaver !! not showing yet !!

Can one of you kind people please give me some information on how Click Energy 4 works? The BG site is short on detail!
    1. Does your meter still get read by BG or do they only use customer supplied readings?
    2. If so how often should you supply readings and when?
    3. Do they email you asking for a meter reading?

    Thanks in advance.

Pdman - not sure on 2) or 3) but as far as 1) goes there is a set standard for meter readings per Ofgem. They have to take one with 28 months and many Suppliers take them prior to 14 months as well to get their own charges correct for what they buy in elec for you.

Never live with estimates, they affect your DD's. So, regardless of whether they come out, always submit a reading to replace an estimate.
