British Gas Click energy 4?

British Gas Click energy 4 - according to some sources this is not changing - or is it not changing yet? I'm now confused by the comparison sites, as according to one, changing from NPower sign online(new prices) to Click 4 would save me £150 a year, plus £60 quidco - why do I need to wait?

I changed to this a few days ago, because from my understanding it was not changing and like you I was saving Money and getting £60 cashback :beer:

I too have just looked at this. There are no tie ins though so I suppose it would be worth a try. Please can anyone whos already on this give us some feedback.

Does anyone know when quidco would pay the £60. I know there is no contract with BG but would you have to say be with them for say 6 months before your Quidco account got credited? Hope this make s sense!!

I have been on the original British Gas Click tariff for Economy 7 since early 2006 and the effect of last weeks increase on my usage for the last year was a very similar increase of about 39%, again due to a large increase in the night rate. I have changed to Click 4 as it takes immediate effect as an existing BG customer, and the difference in cost is huge (almost £300 per year).

As BG now have increased their prices and Click 4 is still competitive it seems no more uncertain than any other tariff at present (actually slightly less so than a tariff with a supplier yet to raise their prices).

BG did not increase Click 4 last week when their standard tariff for gas and electricity went up by 15%

It was a very competitive tariff before the latest round of price increases, and is even better now.

However it is surely certain that they will keep it at a low rate until a lot more customers have moved to this tariff and then they will increase their prices for Click4.

They will probably create a Click 5 tariff and close the Click 4 off then put the prices up the next time there are rises.

Like this time, all Click tariffs up to 3 were put up last week but 4 wasnt. Next round of increases it'll be all up to 4 and Click 5 will not be affected.

Out of interest has anybody switched to say BG through one switch site and got the cashback, then switched away from BG, then switched back to BG again this time through a different switching site and got the cashback again. :think:

I switch from BG older Click to later Click and get £40 from Quidco each service, each time Lets hope they dont cotton on.

ive been trying to change to click 4 from a standard BG tariff via quidco since thursday but i keep getting a system error

its been suggested that a) its becuase its through the refferal link or b) cos im an exsisting customer

im tearing my hair out over it !!

I changed from standard to click 4 on 27 January with no problem. The £40 is already showing in my Quidco account as validated.
