  • Do hope it get sorted.

Payed £94.00 off my Vanquis card today, bring total so far for Feb to £1235.16,very pleased with that, biggest part of that was savings I had. I know I am going to have to work hard to find the extra money and i will the determination is very much still there.
  • Good girl. Keep at it. I managed to pay the majority of my debt off using reclaimed bank charges. It really got my debt down to a manageable amount. I did fall off the wagon towards the end of last year and really had to tighten my belt and pay it all off.

It's well worth it when its paid off.
  • Unfortunately no bank charges to reclaim, not in the last six years, about seven years ago I switch to an account with no overdraft, only used cash and my credit cards and I have just been drifting along ever since.
  • I wish I could have gone back further than 6 years. I've paid an absolute fortune over the years. The last 6 years have been nothing compared to the charges I had when I was married. Never mind. the amount I did have helped me out of a sticky situation.
  • Sold 2 books on Amazon so another £4.50 coming my way soon.:j When I was looking at my account I noticed my CC details were registered, so I could click and buy, I'm a click and buy kind of Looby, thats now changed debit card now registered so won't be tempted to buy as I know very penny in current account is accounted for.

Also trade in 2 very old phones on envirofone, £11.27 for the phones and £5.09 for going through Quidco.:j

Not a lot else happened today, didn't even have a NSD as i spent £20 on petrol. Oh I did ring BT about my cheque they sent me in ex husbands name.

Well done you. How are you finding selling stuff on Amazon. Got tons of books that I could get rid of just never see to get the time.
  • Thank you.

I don't find Amazon to bad, I just list the books and if they sell they sell. Takes a bit of time to list everything. I have sold 2 may not sell any for a few week.

List a few and see how they go, think the listings last for about 60 day and you can always re-list.

    Hey Looby

You are doing really well...it will be great to get rid of the Vanquis card!

    Just a few thoughts...

Have you got anything you can sell on Ebay? Car boot when the weather is nicer? Have you been over your SOA with a fine toothed comb?

    Good luck!

well done for all your hard work looby.
You inspire people which is what this forum is about.
Keep going and i look forward to following your diary.
  • Hi Annie, yes SOA has been fine tooth combed.Everything that can be changed has been. Haven't tried Ebay, it frightens me a bit. I will do a carboot when the weather get better.

I can manage my debt, it seems to just stick around the £5000 make, decided now I want it gone sooner rather that later.Clean slate, then start on the mortgage.
