  • Afternoon all,
had a pretty lazy day today, just tidied up and got some more rolls on the go as the locusts have eaten the twelve i made yesterday:rolleyes: They were very nice sausage and bacon rolls tho:o
Doubled the amount to twelve at once now rather than make them in two batches;)

Hiya, well I've finally finished the ironing :j and DD2 is back from the party and is happily working her way through her party bag.
The aerial guys came in the end, only 1 hour late but they did a fab job and now I can watch the tv whilst doing the ironing upstairs, so makes it less painful!
I've had my haircut and it looks great (for a change) and I'm off into the kitchen now to make a huge pot of bol sauce which I'll turn into 2 lasagnes and some sauce for spaghetti for later next week.
    Have a good evening!

First chance to log in today. Done my thanks for late yesterday - you seemed to have a bit of a party last night!

Did lots of washing today and have started stripping the kitchen in advance of the decorator coming, never mind the kitchen guy. Reckon we will be in a muddle for quite some time. Put loads of stuff out which hasn't been used for years. Felt sad that 'heart mug' (DD into that when she was about 4) went out. She doesn't want it so no point keeping. Big wall cupboard cleared, doors off and shelves down. Neighbour in tomorrow to help DH support while I take screws out to get off wall.

Love and hugs to you all.

PS Bad night with wind and rain last night. Slight abatement today and got towels out on the line but now raining again.

    Hi Everyone.
Have just read through today's posts, but have missed a couple of days' worth at present. Well, you all seem to be very busy! I've done the weekly shop, two loads of washing (one of which dried outside in the wind!), home made bread, plus two batches of home-made soup, so not too lazy for once!
Unexpected supper invite for tonight, which is good to look forward to. DH popped into Waitrose this pm to see if they had any seville oranges as I thought I'd perhaps make marmalade tomorrow...he's come home with 4Kg!!!! Oh well, I'm pretty sure the oranges will freeze whole for later use, as I think 1kg. should be plenty for one batch! Not sure I have enough empty jars for more than that at the moment.
Take care - and ((HUGS)) to all who need one.

    Afternoon all

Had a lazy day here, DH went for an interview this morning - the jobs were all far to junior for him even though there were advertised as "senior" ones - waste of a morning, he got back to the car to find a parking ticket - he'd gone 6 mins over the hour   Really could have done without that this month.

DD1's had a very harsh lesson this week - she had the chance to confess to something but she chose to lie about it instead resulting in her allowance being taken away along with all other privilages- she didn't seem that fussed until she got a call last night to invite her to go swimming and to lunch with friends - she'd only got enough for swimming and knew better than to ask me for the rest - her friends all turned round and said "ask your parents - ours pay for everything"........I think I know who'll appreciate that more in years to come!! Needless to say, she's been very helpful around the house today and she actually said that she likes the fact we have rules here as her friends just get away with doing whatever they like.

Got my parents coming for lunch tomorrow and forgot that I'd promised to do the "choccy fountain" for pud next time they came.....got the choccy but not much to dip in it so DD2 and I have just made some mini choccy sponge cakes to dip - we're really completely broke this month so can't afford to go buying strawberries and the like so they'll have to like it or lump it (and being my parents they won't mind at all :D )

Picky bits from the freezer for tea - there's a few half boxes of left over xmas nibbles, going to do some wedges, veggies and dips (of the HM variety) Fancy a glass of wine but there's only 3 bottles of champagne in the house - not sure that "parking fine Saturday" is a reason to celebrate!!

Hope you all have a great evening.

  • Hugs to everyone who needs them today.

Its been one of those days here today. I just cant seem to get myself motivated. I had a really bad night last night and couldnt get comfy or sleep. So i got dressed and was back downstairs at 3.20am :( I really hope that i can get over my fear of having this 3rd op on my leg.. I cant carry on like this till mid Feb :(
The WM has been doing overtime today. All wet washing is hanging in the garage to dry. ( Its attatched to the house and so much easier than having to go out if it starts to rain ;) ) BM has had a day off. But it will be back on for breakfast in the morning.DW is sat waiting for me to go empty it.
No idea what i am cooking tonight. I think i will have to have a dig in the freezer and see what is lurking there. Think it wont be a very healthy tea tonight but with how i feel i am surprissed i havent thought of ringing a takeaway.. Oh well tomorrow is another day :)

Hope everyone has a great Saturday night :)

  • Afternoon/Evening Guys!!

Well, I havent really slept but did treat myself to a Traybake tin, Traybake tin container and 3 Lock'n'load containers from Lakeland using another £10 voucher:o and it totalled to £20 including delivery;)

2 washloads done and dried. DW just finishing off now and dinner is in the oven. Having Pie, Spuds & Mushy Peas:D Have sorted out the ironing for this week and sorted through DD's drawers and recycled all grubby socks, t-shirts and underwear that she no longer wears or has grown out of.

Have BIL/SIL + kids round tomorrow and was going to do Roast Lamb but I dont think the joint is big enough, so have got out a bag of stewing diced lamb and 2 packets of Finest Sausages. Will do a lamb stew & dumplings, a Sausage Cassarole and might serve mini roasties or mash:confused: They are bringing the desert but have ice-cream and a cheesecake as back up;) Will probably end up playing a board game if not too late.

    Hugs to all

Haribo-Hope your hospital stay this week goes well and will look forward to having you back here soon.

Help - the Pod People have stolen my husband and left an imposter in his place! This is the man who wouldn't know a vitamin if it bit him on the bum - he just turned to me and said 'You know, homemade soup to go with your homemade cheese and onion bread would be a really good way of getting in 5 a day on veg.'

    hahaha :rotfl:

I've just read your post out to mr tru (because he wouldn't know a vitamin either and comes out with the odd healthy gem too) and he said 'Oh I totally agree with him, as long as someone else makes it. Don't forget to drink a pint of cider with your meal, it's made from apples and also counts as a portion' :D

    evening all,

Had a great day, quick swipe this morning, put a wash on the line, nipped up to tesco to recycle bottles  , and took a dvd back that DD got two of for xmas, got her the simpsons movie instead, might have a watch of it tomorrow. Then we went walking in the woods, it turned into a beautiful day quite spring like, and we walked for miles and miles, legs are a little bit achey now, must be good for me.

Washing dried beautifully on line got it on airer now, and will put it away in morning, prawn salad is prepared, just waiting for pots then will eat, DD will be back from her dads any moment now. Will watch a bit of tv then have a saturday night glass of vino  .

Hugs to chocolate orange hope you get some sleep tonight x

Have a good evening all xx
