Morning Everyone
DLB: Glad DH and the kids liked the PS3. Promise you'll spend the next treat money on yourself.
After yesterdays stress the house is clean and tidy and the last of the washing in the basket is in the washing machine, the ironing won't be ready till tomorrow. So as I would normally be baking today but dont have a oven I will be doing some clothes sorting instead. DH wardrobe is a mess so I'm going to make him sort it out.
Later I'm going to visit my dad and see his handy work, hes fitted a new wood burner in his dinning room and just had it approved by building regs so hes finished off the painting and varnishing it should look good.
No idea what tea is going to be but tbh it might be a takeaway.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning all,

Just read yesterdays thread, and my many PM's. Thank you to everyone who bothered to write. I spent yesterday making phone calls, and doing stupid things like sorting out Mum's freezer. Anything to stop me thinking. We are having to have a post-mortenm on Monday because our GP hadn't seen Mum in the last fortnight, so the funeral won't be until another week and a half at least.
Just want to say, thanks for the support, I may not be on her much next week, but it's so comforting to know that so much love is being sent our way.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good morning everyone :hello:
Well done dlb! :j :j
Happy anniversary to Mr & Mrs Mix
My news is that I'm actually losing weight! :j I've lost 6lbs so far - how great is that?! In the staffroom the other day a parent helper asked me whether I'd lost weight as it did look like it! I could have hugged her! It's so nice when someone recognises that (because DH hasn't really done because he lives with me, as he put it!). I'd better go and update my signature......
School is just as stressful as ever, so the less said about that the better!
On the positive front, DH and I have booked our holiday to New Zealand! This time in 6 months we'll be on our way to Heathrow. We can't really believe that from cutting back here and there we've been able to save up enough - through OS and the like. We're treating it as our second honeymoon, considering it costs considerably more than our actual honeymoon.
I've also offered my services to the local cinema club that's run in a former church (now a theatre!). They only have a film every so often, but I will get to watch some films for free. The one next week is "Atonement", which I know has been released for some time but it's one that I managed to miss the first time around!
It's another rugby match today. They turned up mentally and physically last weekend, so fingers crossed they do that again otherwise I will be asking the coach for a refund on my season ticket.
Have a great Saturday everyone

Morning everyone
i finally got a few mnutes to sit down, the usual wm,dw & bm all sorted and the worktops cleared after DH attempt at cheese on toast last night.
Actually it was ok and we didn`t have the oven on fire like last time
I`ve been carefully examining the washing as this is the first time that i have tried the soda crystals etc and it does look sparkly clean so i am really pleased about that, i think i probably used too much of the 3 ingredients so i`ll try and find out how much others are using shortly.
Jackieo - nice to see you are feeling better today
Mrs_Mix - Happy anniversary
Catch up later.
Have a lovely day everyone.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Morning everybody :hello:
This is a bit early for me on a Saturday morning :hello:
Just one thing from yesterday's thread:Evening everyone
As for the singing - well I am tone deaf and totally singing mad - know the words, and enjoying singing. Only really let rip when I go to church or on my own, my thought process is he gave me the voice - he can put up with it! lol
Have got church choir today as we are having a Requiem Mass for our former sacristan. He actually died some time ago but died penniless and without any family, so was in the care of the council and it took ages. He has actually already been cremated, last week, after a very small funeral at the crem, but the timescale for that, again, was at the mercy of the council. So today we are giving him a proper send-off at church - should be a good doHe was really into music and everything, so he'd have liked it!
This evening I am going to a concert at the Barbican, and I decided that as I was going to be there anyway, I'd go and see Sweeney Todd in the afternoon (they have 3pm showings on Saturdays, and the tickets are good value as I've got a Barbican membership).
Well done on the debt-busting dlb - that's brilliant :T
Happy anniversary to mr & mrs_mix
Welcome Salopman :hello:
Yikes, I'm not dressed yet and I've got to be out the door in 15 mins - must be off!
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Morning all!
Have had a lazy start to the day reading my book in bed with a cuppa tea so didn't get up and have a cuppa tea with you lot as usual! Have to finish the book by Monday night for the book club I go to (really just a bunch of mums who chat about the book, chat about everything else and have a couple of glasses of wine!)
Had 2 of the children's friends over for a sleepover and we have all survived that but no-one had a lie in will try again tomorrow morning!
Off to a jumble sale this morning at friends school haven't been to one for years! Mum used to get all my clothes from jumble sales when I was little but I guess it might be good for books etc kids want to go. Who knows what I might find!
Breakfast done and dusted
Lunch home made bread and shop bought cheese!
Dinner roast pork (reduced £7.99 to £1.25!) with the trimmings (whatever they are!)
WM and TD on and the washing basket is overflowing again! Why does it keep happening?? There are only 4 of us after all!!
Have fab days all... hugs to all who need them xxx0
