Morning All
Went to bed really early last night, but still couldn't get up this morning. I'm sure the human brain is trained NOT to want to get out of bed before 7am!!! 4am is just cruel!!
Flying through the work, so should make getting home on time easy. Read my new cook book yesterday - Jame's Martin's Village Show - very good. Can't wait to try some of them out. Started reading Martin's new book too, but decided I should be more awake so I can digest the info, so will give that another go later or tomorrow.
Going to see friends over the weekend - something to do with football but not sure what!
Right, daily clicks are calling
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

All is fine in the furrypig household, I think being Friday has a lot to do with it!
Is anyone else having haggis tonight?? Well, I hope to as I haven't actually bought it yet! It's Burn's night and I'm half Scottish plus I actually like haggis!

Hilstep - I'm so sorry, love; sending you a hug and prayers. Be kind to yourselves; it rocks your world when you lose a parent, I know. It doesn't matter what age you are (((hug)))
I've got the day off today (yay after the fortnight I've had!). I finally got my new Panasonic breadmaker going at midnight, and was all fingers and thumbs setting it up, mismeasured the yeast and salt, and it seemed to select its own basic XL programme, so went to bed not sure what I'd wake up to. All I can say is Wow. I'm a definite convert; this is the kind of premium bread I've paid a fortune for in supermarkets before now.
My sister's coming over later; every once in a while I pay her to do my housework and she gets the opportunity to indulge her OCD (not said mockingly, by the way). I've decided to move all the crockery out of the kitchen cupboard into the sideboard so I can have a dedicated baking cupboard, but I want to get some new crockery first. I've been collecting Portmeirion Botanic Garden stuff for years now and I'm rather bored with it because I've got mismatched numbers of things. So it's going to the charity shop, and I shall buy some plain white stuff instead, with some new cutlery (I got my annual bonus today so I'm allowing myself a treat). I'm thinking I may have spotted online what I like in IKEA so I'll persuade sis to drive me there later. I shall also look for a breadbin while I'm out; I'm pretty certain this homebaked stuff won't make it as far as the freezer. I may even buy a new iron and ironing board as mine came out of the Ark.
Apart from that it's a day of major decluttering, taking all the junk in the front garden to the dump, more stuff to the charity shop, then relax into a weekend in a spotless home. DH is out visiting his kids tonight so I won't be cooking. It's his birthday tomorrow so I'm booking tickets for Sweeney Todd.0 -
Hello everyone!
I hope that no-one minds me posting again - haven't had much chance to get on here this week but it is my day off today! Woke up about 5.30 with my head spinning about paying bills, housework that I need to do etc, then dropped back off at 7 just before the alarm went off!!
Today I need to do a meal plan for the week (trying to use as much freezer stuff as possible), and then do a shop based on this. The washing is on now, and I am pretty sure it should dry quite fast in the gale force winds we have at the minute! I also need to try and find someone local who can shorten our curtains (I wouldn't even begin to know where to start, and no-one I know is handy with a sewing machine!)
Anyway, off for a much needed cuppa now.
Sola - let us know how Sweeney Todd is, I would love to go and see it.
Have a WONDERFUL Friday everyone xxMFW
