    Evening everyone

Well it it 1.06 am here but I haven't been to bed yet so still on this thread. Been out to a Quiz - we came next to the bottom but have a good laugh and have only been on diet Coke (on tablets).

Plenty of wine in the rack out here are silly prices, and the cabinet is full of cheap spirits too, so name your poison.

As for the singing - well I am tone deaf and totally singing mad - know the words, and enjoying singing. Only really let rip when I go to church or on my own, my thought process is he gave me the voice - he can put up with it! lol:confused:

DH has gone up to bed already and I can hear him snoring ( ).

Jackie0 - Nice to hear from you. Tattycathy - come on surely the local church chior would not be expensive - you could even delegate Sunday Lunch preparation to the girls as you are out :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Nice to have lost the cotton wool in my head, still a bit of singing in my ears but not too bad. Think I had better find some earplugs if I want to get to sleep. Though luckily nothing much bothers me getting off at night, it's around 4-5 am that I have problems going back off.

Moiliere - Amie only usually pops on in the morning now she seems to be a bit busy earning on the clicks. Let's hope she says hello in the morning.

PenPen, you're right, they are VERY saucy. Tricky to look up translations as it's in a cross between Latin and Old German... but yep, from about a third of the way into the piece onwards it's all about drinking... and then a few movements later it's all about sex :D

From the movement called "Amor volat undique" onwards, the baritone soloist is supposed to be a youth who's got the horn for a certain young lady, played by the soprano soloist ;) As each section passes he gets randier and randier... and she's up for it but she's not quite sure whether she should or not ("In trutina") but then they, and the entire chorus, decide to get on with it, causing the soprano to sing what can only be described as a musical orgasm ("Dulcissime...") soaring up to a top D and cartwheeling back down again in ecstasy...

Then there's a fabulous chorus about how great Venus is ("Ave formosissima" - that's the one where the sopranos have to sing a top B and the altos have a top G).

    Yep, it's saucy :D

And there me thinking that operatic folk are straight laced;)
