Free Replacment PSP or PS3 even out of warranty with Sony

i phoned on wednesday on phone they asked me to try a few things, like take out battery, try the game then they asked the serial number and i got a brand new boxed psp the next day

did you have to reurn your old one? What fault did you have?

they didnt offer any help like this for me when my psp broke. rang and spoke to them and said would repair for £45 or i could buy replacement recon psp for £75.

My son had his ps3 changed without any problems from sony.
Rang them and said his games were not loading,and they sent a replacement within 3 days,came in a sealed container from carrier,and we just swapped them over.
The service we had was excellent.
Wouldnt hesitate to get another sony make in the future.

I have just rung Sony about my sons PSP. Didn't know when it was bought although it is a slim 2003 model. They are exchanging it no trouble at all and have been told it will be with us tomorrow. Amazing service!!! :beer:

I just called Sony too, my PS3 was bought in Oct 07 (just broke, just outside of warranty), but I said it was present from brother for last Christmas and they were fine. I will get refurbished PS3 with 3 month warranty :j

Pity I had to lie as xbox has 3 year warranty and my PS3 was about 3 weeks beyond a year old when it just died.

I'm going to pay for continuous play after this so I never have to be dishonest about my PS3 again. :A

What great service, my faulty PS3 is getting replaced in two days time!

absolutly briliant op, my sons psp stopped working with horizontle line across the screen we brought it him last xmas, i gave up hope of having it fixed as took it a shop and they said £65 to fix and thought no way am i paying that, just rang help line and they are replacing it him tomorrow.... so thank you so much his little face will be beaming tomorrow as he missed playing it.. hes only 7 bless
