tried the free repair but wont have it
will cost me £65 fir exchange
has any one tried0 -
following on from my last post i sent them an email sayng that i felt the PSP breaking down twice within 18months did not point towards a very good build quality, i sort of waffled on a bit about how disappointed i was and how it had taken my son 2 yrs to save up for the PSP and we could not afford £65 for the repair (all of which was true)
anyways a few days later i had a call from Sony and a very nice man had a chat with me and offered to replace the PSP again free of charge with a 3 month guarantee, he then suggested i get their insurance in case of any further problems

Thanks, free replacement coming tomorrow with a 3 month warranty (the start and volume buttons would not work on my son's psp) :j:j
Son will be very happy0 -
I called about my sons psp, but said it would cost £65 without receipt. It is not a slimline psp, dont know if that makes the difference0

hi all, thanks for the info.... so does this still work? I mean what would happen if i bought a broken console and just phone them up? Surely i can make a profit out of that?!? But anyway, blu ray drive actually just started to play up... between those 2 numbers which one should I call? if it was only £65 for a swap, should i check the other number just in case ?0

Hi guys, I am so glad I found this forum and thread!
Just one question before I go ahead and call Sony - can they tell from my serial number when I bought it? Because I don't want them not to give me the repair option if I do end up having to pay.
I have a PSP-2000 Slim & Lite and obviously that is a quite old model now, so I don't know whether I could realistically get them to replace it for free.0 -
Gilburt, I'm pretty sure that Sony don't offer this any more as it was open to abuse. If you see the date on the thread it was over 18 months ago.

This is the site for the "continuous play" warranty that people in this thread are talking about. As you can see it is offered no more .
It's only a game
