Struggling with ideas this week after last nights dinner:

    Sat out, beans on toast
    Sun out, scrambled eggs
Mon out, pasta bacon and mushroom creamy sauce, garlic bread
Tuesday pasta salad, chicken curry (not HM just M+S but needs to be used)
    Wed pasta salad, pork stroganoff

Hope to make some banana and chocolate muffins on Sunday and curried parsnip soup. Going to be under budget but had a few meals out so will make chili con carne for freezer with remainder of budget money.

    HI everyone,

    This week for us it's:

    Sat - Shepherd's Pie, Turnip & Cabbage
Sun - Green Thai Chicken Curry & Rice
Mon - Toad In The Hole (not home made, got an M&S one in the freezer!)
Tue - Sausage, Egg, Chips and Beans
    Wed - Tuna Pasta Bake
Thu - Chicken Amatriciana & Garlic Bread
Fri - Macaroni Cheese & Chips

Trying to buy as little as possible this week so just using up things from the freezer (hence the dishes with chips etc when I am supposed to be on a diet!).
Lunches will be soup, sandwiches and salads.

Black potatoes, are literally what it says on the tin ... potatoes which are black .. in the sense that they have black skins (like Desiree have red ones!) ... DH has a fascination for weird coloured veg and this is what he bought from Waitrose the other week ... guessing we'll boil them .. bit scared to be honest!!!!

Thanks for explaining that. I was hoping they just werent burnt spuds:D

I have got the lamb out for dinner tomorrow, but have decided to do a lamb stew and saysage cassarole as the lamb joint may not be big enough. Doesnt matter though as I have everything else in and the sausages are decent Finest ones! Will serve with either mash or small roasted spuds...not blackened though:p

Friday: we were going to have fish but then I found some yummy rhubarb at the market, so ... lentil soup with bread and then rhubarb crumble and cream

Saturday: roasted sea bass fillets with (for grownups) fennel, orange & caper risotto and (for children) saute potatoes (using leftovers from the other night) and peas

    Sunday: home made pizza

Monday: sausages, mash, broccoli, yorkies & onion gravy

Tuesday: frankfurters, beans & mash (for children), mince curry and rice (for grownups)

Wednesday: vegetable & chickpea tagine with couscous, tomato soup for children if they won't eat it

Thursday (DH off playing in pool competition, me just back from dentist): pasta with cheese, ham, cream & peas

    Friday: smoked haddock chowder

But it is always open to last minute changes.

    A bit late again.

Sat - Kung Po Pork with Veg Chow Mein (Sharwood sauce for pork, rest home made)
Sun - Roast lamb, pots, parsnips, broccoli, carrots, sprouts
Mon - Ginger and Lemon Salmon, stir fried veg
Tues - HM Lamb Curry (if any left from Sunday) or Chicken if not!
Weds - HM Chilli and JP
Thurs - HM Moussaka with roasted veg
Fri - HM Fish Pie, peas and sweetcorn

My grocery budget is looking good for £200 to last till 18th February from 19th January

£68.45 + £10.62 + £10.11 + £11.53 + £3.70 = £104.41 leaves £95.59 for milk, bread, fruit and veg as rest of shopping will be from the freezer or cupboard
