Well last week didn't go according to plan either, as I have left them to it for a couple of days while I go visiting. Going home shortly, but decided to plan meals first. I spent too much at the market yesterday and mostly storecupboard stuff... am trying to shop from home!
Here goes..
Friday: Haggis, Neeps and Tatties
Saturday: Friend coming for breakfast! Egg bacon sausage etc
Dinner: Turkey and ham in mushroom sauce (bumped yet again last week!)
Sunday: Lamb chops from when I had half a lamb. Should be used soon. I don't ever buy lamb chops, but they come like that with the lamb. GOt pots and veg are in the fridge.
Monday: Bol, either veg or regular
Tuesday: Jacket Potatoes
Wednesday: Fish in crumbs (freezer) bubble & Squeak (freezer) Mushy peas (made and in freezer) Nice easy night!
Thursday: Spicy Pork burger/vegi burger, potato wedges and salad.
Might drop one of the meat dishes in favour of a veggie one, in order balance it a bit. Guess Saturday would be a good day if there is a cooked breakfast.

Last week, didn't entirely stick to plan! Was please to use a couple of things from the freezer that had been languishing there for some time.
Thursday: chicken wings Potato wedges and salad.
Friday: rogan josh and saag aloo , stashed in freezer (happened), made cauliflower and chickpea thing but not Spicy rice
Saturday:
Turkey/ham (guess where that's from!) in mushroom sauce with pasta, Made bean burgers and wedges instead. First time for the burgers, successful.
Sunday: Steak and broccoli stirfry, found recipe on BBC website, This was good http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5...d-broccoli.jsp but left out the cashew nuts and included a pack of bean sprouts.
Monday:
bean/veg lasagne yet? Could get that ready on Sunday. Did this with good result! Pleased
Tuesday: Went to see friends and have gone on to the wrinklies, so family had a beans, egg, toast day and a jacket spud day.
Today.. should be home in time to defrost broth from freezer. Lob in some dumplings to keep the boys happy and then maybe a sponge pud or something."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hi kraftykat
Do you like caraway seeds? If so, I sometimes stir-fry cabbage and add some caraway seeds just before serving - I think this is a good combination, but others might disagree

Hi there, did stick mainly to plan last week, except for the cauli cheese which got chilli substituted in instead, as DH was cooking.
This week:
Friday: Veggie burgers / fish fingers with "black" potatoes
Sat: Salmon fillets with cous cous
Sun: HM Pizza and garlic bread (bought reduced from Waitrose last week).
Mon: Sausages, mash and beans
Tues: Cottage pie and veggies
Wed: Beef casserole & rice
Thurs: HM coconut rice pudding for DD, DH out and no idea for me!
I need to also make some bread, so I'm aiming to do that on Sunday when I make the pizza dough.GC - March 2024 -0 -

Buffy the Vampire Bat, I don't think I've ever tried caraway seeds????
Probably a stupid question, but are caraway seeds the small round bits in bombay mix???0
