Maybe mate, but in all honesty, I have nothing to hide and I simply don't see the point in allowing them access to my property simply to check. If they have the documents to prove legaly they have access and a police office present,I will grant them access, otherwise its a breach of my liberty and thats why laws where enforced to make sure its legally done.hewhoisnotintheknow wrote: »is it me or is it just easier to let them in proove you have not got one and let them get on with their job rather than wasting their time when they could be catching real evaders? If it wasn't for Martin Lewis website and his vast knowledge we wouldn't be upto date with what "...Joe Blogs" rights are.

REPORT THEM TO YOUR MP
Second visit today, at 12:30am, another bullying tv licensing officer. I am now sick and tired of them.
Write/email your MP under Your Member of Parliament heading
find your MP here http://www.writetothem.com/ use your post code, request he contacts the Chief Executive of TV Licensing asking for an explanation of the bullying methods they use and the lies. He/she will then request a explanation for you. The more we get together and the complaints made, the TV Licensing will be forced to make changes. If we don't speak out then it will continue. If it wasn't for Martin Lewis website and his vast knowledge we wouldn't be upto date with what "...Joe Blogs" rights are.

I'm sure I have seen somewhere before that if the property has an aerial/dish fixed to it with a lead, you might be in a spot of bother.
The trouble is I cant find the article.0 -

An aerial or a dish doesn't mean you've even got a TV, never mind whether you're actually using the dish or aerial. You could be using the dish or aerial to receive radio, internet, or satellites that don't carry BBC content.
I just read these on the tv licensing site though...Will I need a TV Licence to watch programmes on BBC iPlayer?
A TV Licence is needed to watch TV programmes as they're being shown on TV. At the moment, the BBC iPlayer only offers access to BBC programmes after they have been broadcast - either to download, or via streaming 'on demand'. It is not providing a service where programmes are streamed 'live' at the same time as they are being shown on TV.
Therefore, if you are using your PC or laptop solely to watch TV programmes from the BBC iPlayer service in its current form, you do not need to be covered by a TV Licence.
There are plans to offer live streaming at some time in the future, but no date has been confirmed. When this service is introduced to the BBC iPlayer, then you will need to be covered by a valid TV Licence. Will I need a TV Licence to watch programmes on other internet television services like those offered by Channel 4 or ITV?
If you are watching programmes as they are being shown on TV from other services, for example Channel 4 or ITV, then you will need to be covered by a valid TV Licence. If you are watching these services at home you will be covered by your existing TV Licence.
Errm, what? The tv license is only to pay for BBC stuff. To watch BBC stuff online doesn't require a license. To watch non-BBC stuff online DOES? The wording here is tricky too, stating "as they are being shown". If you're not watching it live, via some on demand type thing, no license is needed. They haven't answered the question properly, only the bit that will make them more money. Shower of...Do I need a licence? You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.
If you use a set-top box with a hi-fi system or another device that can only be used to produce sounds and can't display TV programmes, and you don't install or use any other TV receiving equipment, you don't need a TV Licence.
I personally watch more stuff on the BBC channels than any others, so I think the license is worth it, but they need to stop misleading people. I've no idea how they've managed to get away with their tactics for so long, but something needs done about it.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
pay the license?
Just a thought0 -
