My goodness! Emily has just got back from her sleepover / trick or treat eveing and has the HUGEST bag full of sweets I have EVER seen! I can't believe that she has so many sweet and cakes etc...mmmm goodl luck the diet starts tomorrow as I think I may need to give her a hand! :) I had never let her out trick or treating before and every year she would send me on a guilt trip, but usually I was working that day and we wouldn't get home from the after school club till nearly 7pm, then we would have to eat tea etc but she has had a fab evening with her friends so that is good. She looks knackered though bless her...bet they didn't get any sleep and I know they were up watching scary movies too! If I would have known how many sweets she would have got I would have forced her out every year!!!

What a lovely autumn day today! Well it was lovely until I ventured to Tesco and it was MENTAL! Like it was Xmas eve or something and the traffic was a right mare! People beeping their horns, shouting etc crazy! I need to make sure I am organised this Xmas so as not stuck like that next month!!! MY own fault really leaving it till 3pm to go to the shop...won't make that mistake again!

Am cooking a lovely HM beef stew for tea...mmmm confort food! Stew, mash and crusty bread! Yum! It has another 1 and 1/2 hours left but I want it now!

Have a wedding evening reception thing coming up soon so trying to find something nice to wear! I am watching a few 99p bits on ebay so hopefully will bag one of those! Also Emily needs something nice but dunno what on earth I am gonna do about that! Will have a dig about and see what I can find! Will be another 99p item if I can help it!

Spoke to my dad and brother today and now know what they want for Xmas...and my nephew too which is good. Really want to be organised this year! I get very excited about Xmas...like a big kid really! This year I am aiming to be the first in that all pressies are paid for outright! That will be awesome if I can pull that off!

  • That is the worst thing about Halloween, all those sweets going begging, then it is selection boxes...the temptation. I always used to love Christmas when mine were little just the excitement of it all..ah well i have future grandchildren to look forward to.

Gawd I have eaten sooo many sweets I feel sick! Really chuffed that Emily was sharing them with me, she can be really sweet at times!

She is coughing and spluttering and said that 'I gave her my illness' cheeky mare! I am gonna get her some medicine for that tomorrow morning as don't want her getting poorly.

Selection boxes...tell me about it! They are everywhere at the mo ain't they! They are sooo yummy. Hopefully this year Em's won't get as many as she gets stackfulls of them! I must be strong and stay away from all these yummy sweets and chocolate!

Future grandchildren...awwwwww! Then you can have all the fun and hand them over at the end of the day :D yay!

WowDonner you are lucky to be even thinking of paying off the £900 on your LLoyds by the end of the month~I thought I was doing well thinking about paying £55 off mine this month!:rotfl: :o

Well £500 will come off when I pay the left over driving money which I am gonna do tomorrow...for real this time :D

That leaves about another £500 I think...I should have about £50 of overtime too so that will be coming off asap leaves £450. I am hoping that I can spend as little as I possibly can this month and pay off another £350 at the end of the month leaving £100! I am due to get my 5% rise back pay from 1st October so that will be 2 months worth, along with another few hours overtime meaning with the minimum payment on the card, I can actually clear the dam thing! But means NO SPENDS WHATSOEVER on anything other than the bare minimum of foodies and perhaps a could of 99p items on ebay for the wedding thing!

Next month with my end of November wages, there will be nowt but minimum payments as I attempt to pay for Xmas without cards! For the first time EVER! :T Will be down from 8 to 3 cards by that point!

It is very hard thinking that I can only spend my money on bare food essentials but I know that it will be sooooo worth it to get rid of another card! I have been so very lucky with my lovely little Mikey the Micra to have some money left over!

I want that next card to be gone by end of April if possible...that would be AWESOME!!!

This month is a lucky one if I can get rid of the Lloyds card. Just a case of going all out and actually using that £500 car money too! I will be chuffed after November when my bike to work payments stop too...:T Looking good!

Keep on at it beanielou! You can do it :) :T xxx

  • Thanks Beanielou...I hope so too! I am very much looking forward to April as really want the M&S credit card clear which is about £2000 or so and then it will leave me with the 2 biggies from HSBC but then only 12 more loan payments to go until the Cahoot loan is finished! I need to stop wishing the months away though as it is 5 months off but I can't help it!

Right I is off to beddie byes now but I don't think I will be able to sleep as too fired up and excited about paying that cards off! At least I have my enthusiasm back I suppose! But need to wind down and sleep!

    Nighty night xxx

    Heya peeps,
Just been chilling today ready to go back to work and for Em's to go back to school tomorrow! Am about to sort out all the clothes and have an early night methinks!
Looks like the boyf is planning to take me and Em's somewhere lovely tomorrow evening for a meal...mmmmmm! Can't wait!
Birthdays are always kinda hard for me as I can't help but wonder if that waste of a space of my mother actually remembers that she gave birth to me all those years ago, but saying that, I have an amazing dad and family and wouldn't have turned out the way I have if she had of given 2 hoots! I am so proud and grateful for what my dad did!
Am meeting a friend for birthday lunch on the 6th as their birthday is on the 7th so we will have a combined lunch, but must keep mine on the cheap! Seeing the folks at the weekend too so that's all good :)
Righteo on with that ironing! Yawn!
