  • Donna sounds like a lot has happened in your life, maybe theres a book in there somewhere (good money maker ;) ) it would be an inspiring read for many people brought up by one parent etc.

How do you feel about having more brothers and sisters? Would you like them in your life even if you don't have your mother in your life? I mean is it their fault how your mum treated you, maybe they would bring something positive to your life? I agree with the poster above though you have to do what is right for you and its a lot to digest in just one day, my questions are just throwing ideas/thoughts around to help you reflect on it all.

    Take care

Donna hun, hope my post didn't upset you, hard to know how I would feel if it was me in your shoes. Sorry you had to fight to keep Emily, just remember that despite all your struggles with debt etc you are a fantastic Mum who is trying so hard to make a better life for both of you. XX

Didn't upset me honest! Emily, dad, brother and my nephew and the rest of our close family are the resons that keep me going each day! I just hope that I am a good mum...well I am doing better than my own mum did I suppose!
Just scoffed my curly wurly! Am still hungry but will be good! xxx

Your dad sounds brilliant - thank goodness he was there for you. :T
Yep, I owe everything to him I really do! It's not until you are grown up and now years later, I realised exactly what he gave up to be our dad and how he was always there for us, trying to do his best. We didn't have much but we had each other, I just regret so much how I treated him but for the last 2 years or so, we have become stronger than ever so it brought us all closer in the end. xxx

I have had such a CRAZY 28 years on this earth it is unreal! I know she has at least 2 other boys, other than my brother Karl. The eldest one is the one we heard from today, he is nearly 18, shocked to see he has a little girl but then I had Emily at 16 so I can't say much! It is hard as I can see that it isn't nowt to do with them how she treated us etc. It sounds to me like he only contacted us because mum wanted him to. I reckon that she would not have told them how she treated me and Karl and I think that everything in the end would get back to her anyway. The whole situation is very odd, has been an eventful day! xxx

On a good note (!) I went to look around Emily's new school yesterday and think I made a good choice there! It's outside of our local catchment area but is not much further away really! They said last night that they are having a summer school in the summer hols, just for a week to give all the kids chance to get to know each other and the school etc and play some games and challenges! I am gonna send Emily there and it appears like it is all free so will save a weeks summer care for her! That's £90 which I had put aside so will be paying that off of my card! I reckon with some very, very careful planning, I *maybe* able to clear that card next payday...that would be awesome!

  • Ooh I've just seen you Tesco card is down to £550!!! Thats a massive overpayment. If you can pay it off or even most of by next payday I hope you are going to treat yourself coz thats an achievement! I'm impressed!

I still think given you are good with computers etc you should have a look into AQA as that would pass some time in the evenings while earning money and that could bring your DFD forward?

Just been checking the online banking! Got paid today so have paid a bit towards the Tesco card...getting closer to getting rid of that thing! Will be great as then only 4 cards to go, albeit the highest ones and also the bank loan but have done well I think! Can't wait to finally clear the thing...will be a great feeling!
Have managed to secure a cancellation for my next driving test too! Will be the 7th attempt now! Have that in a weeks time but would be great to pass as will feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted off of my shoulders as it really gets me upset that I cannot seem to pass! The money I have spent on that too is mental, but I know giving up when I am so close to passing would cost me more in the long run. At least my instructor won't give me any more lessons...he said I just need some luck, or the absense of bad luck! Many would keep trying to get more money out of you but I have been lucky with him, great instructor! Just sooooo wanna pass! Right I am off to bed before I start on that tub of pringles which are calling my name! Be back in the morning as need to sort out the monthly budget and get a food menu up together as want to spend as little as possible this month to try and get rid of that card! Nighty night all xxx

Yep blimin' miracle! Could do with a little treat! My problem is I wouldn't know what to get! Wouldn't mind a hair cut but that costs a lot so may settle for some nice bubble bath and a face mask...never had a face mask before! Mad!
Mmmm have heard a bit about the AQA thing, will look into that tomorrow thanks! My evenings are all spent at home these days so that would be a bouns, using my time for something productive too! Once I have cleared Tesco, I am gonna do the snowball calculator properly with all the right info in it and see the real state of play! xxx
