  • Awe bummer about the exam but well done for trying. Can you take it again in the future now you know the level and amount of revision you would need?

2 years must sound like a long time to live frugally but if you look at it in terms of this year alone how quick has half of it gone!!?? And how quick did you daughter get to be 11 and going to high school. 2 years will fly if you fill it with plenty of quality time (obviously free ;) ).

I'll stop waffling now coz I'm just stating the obvious but couldn't think of another way to spare you on and you are doing a pretty good job of keeping on top of things and making progress yourself anyway.

    Take care

  • Sorry about the exam, but it was last minute..

And ditto what KM says ^^^^^^^^^^^^

    Hey Donna
Sorry the exam didn't go to plan..my DH took it a couple of years ago and he did extensive revision and classes for it...he still failed! Its a really really tough exam and needless to say he hasn't bothered to resit it again at the moment.

2 years seems like a long time but just think how quick the last 6 months has gone since Christmas? I think we will probably be debt free around the same time...although I am trying my hardest to make it sooner!

Now I was wondering if you are doing the Bristol Half Marathon in Sept?? Im looking for a partner to get me around, or just a bit of company and wondered if you were up for it? PM me if you like

Anyway keep at it, your doing great and an inspiration to many!
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Hopefully I will be able to take it in the future...so that's something! And lucky I don't pay for it as work does! Phew!

Yep time will fly by...I really hope so! Can't believe we are half way through the year already, I get soooo excited about Xmas! I am so excited about the thought of paying this debt off...had kinda lost the excited feeling for a while back there as think the novelty had kinda worn off! But now I am thinking, wow in a few years this really could be over!

I know...the last 6 months have gone soooo quickly! But quick is good when it comes to paying off this debt! :j

That blimin' test was hard as! Don't blame your OH for not retaking it!

Half marathon wise...I was gonna do the Bristol one but then I found out that Chippenham are having a special anniversairy one all around the outskirts through the villages and it is half the price and on the same day too! So I signed up for that one instead...much smaller affair! Wold you be able to do that one? I reckon it will be really good!

Not sure I will be able to get to Chippenham, at least I can get train to Bristol but unsure of public transport to Chippenham. Will have a look and let you know. Can you enter the Chippenham half online??

Hope you have a nice weekend planned

Yep you can enter it online! http://www.chippenhamhalfmarathon.co.uk/

Well....Emily is off to a sleepover and I have no mates to go out with :( so I am gonna have a quiet one and maybe start stripping off the wallpaper in Emily's room? I dunno...such a mare as I know realistically I am gonna be stuck here for ages and it isn't right that none of the house has been decorated, so thought I may try and decorate her room and make it a bit nicer for when she has mates over? Hopefully a few tims of paint won't cost too much and will make a big difference as the wallpaper is coming off the walls in there now! It's just knowing that the job will take ages and I am always knackered when I get home from work and I know the novelty will wear off quickly!

Had a crazy day today...to cut a long story short, my brother and now me have been contacted by our half brother on behalf of our mum, saying she wanted to know how we were etc and see what we looked like as they found us on Facebook. I can't believe the nerve of the woman and it has really riled me up today...don't understand how she could think she could just pop up after leaving us 22 years ago when I was just 6 and my brother 3, and never bother with either of us. My dad had his whole life turned upside down when she walked out and had such a hard job being a single parent. That woman can go to hell.....Grrrrrrr! Sorry really annoyed! I know it is not his fault (the half brothers) but she is something else...I really wanted some booze and some chocolate tonight but I have managed to refrain myself! Trying soooo hard to be better with my eating as my weight is constantly yo-yoing all over the shop.

  • Hi Donner

What a shock that must have been!! Did you respond to your half brother?

Don't answer this if it is too personal but do you remember anything about her at all? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet her or are you just too angry?

Must be very strange for you both. I hope you're ok

Heya KM! I didn't reply to him, my brother did at first just asking him what he wanted and he said that mum wanted to contact us etc...
The only memories I have are really bad ones, like the police trying to find her as my dad had reported her missing for the upteenth time and he locking me and my brother up whilst she was entertaining some random bloke and also calling me a little biatch for saying that I wanted to live with my dad! And her telling my dad and us that she never wanted us and she signed over full custody to my dad and then asked him if he fancied getting some dinner from the local greasy spoon as she was hungry right after signing custody to him...Charming woman, obviously hit her hard! Muppet!
Very, very odd day today...very odd feelings too! My brother can't remember her at all but he doesn't want anything to do with her either! xxx
