Well what a crazy few days! My head was all over the shop on Friday night and by Saturday morning, my mind was made up in the fact that within 24 hours, my mum had been stirring it up and already have my half brother harping on about how hard done by she was when she was married to my dad and how badly everything went for her...yada, yada, yada so I have well and truly knocked that one on the head...didn't take her long! I thought that I could come back with some comments but I was the bigger person and refrained and hopefully we won't hear from them again...but I won't hold my breath!
Had a chilled out weekend, spent most of it removing that dam wallpaper in Emily's room...gawd that took ages! I didn't feel that great on Sunday so I didn't go for a run, which was naughty really, but I need to accept the fact that there ain't no point pushing myself and sometimes these things will happen!
Emily is off to soend that day at her new school tomorrow so I will cancel the after school club for her. She is having a mate to stay over on Friday so will use the money to put towards some nice foodies for them both! Have a packed weekend coming up as Emily is performing in the St Pauls carnival here in Bristol and then on Sunday we are gonna pop down to see the folks as I miss them like crazy...I hate being so far away from them but will be so much easier when I am finally driving as all those hours on trains etc could be substituted for a 30 min drive instead...bliss! Maybe I will be lucky on Friday's test...who knows!
Woke up feeling a lot more postive today which is good...gonna pop out for a run in my lunch break tomorrow and on Wednesday, I am thinking about going to an exercise class called Body Blitz which is a class using weights. I am really nervous about going and have been putting it off for weeks, but will be brave and go along and see what it is like. I really need to get fitter and this class should help, I will just explain to the teacher that I may find it a little tough! Hopefully there won't be too many people there...
Anyway, I am gonna have a 15 minute browse around here and then get to bed as I done nowt but yawn at work today! Ha ha! Nighty night xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Aww, i caught up a bit about what was going on..I am so sorry you have been through that. At least it is all behind you now.
If you can do that you can get through this test, my fingers, legs and bank book is crossed..well the cheques are anyway ( banking joke)
Hope everything goes well for you this week..take care.

Thanks BOB, I'm glad it is too! Can't believe I have another test...just gonna try and chill and not let it phase me...easier said that done though! I think after so many failures, you start to doubt whether or not you are ever gonna do it? Just gotta keep plodding on!

Hve you tried taking some rescue remedy before your test? Might just calm your nerves and see you through. Glad that you have sorted things with your family, such a hard thing for you to have to deal with and by the sound of it she hasn't changed!
Just going to have a look at that chippenham half marathon, then will let you knowI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Hiya Sallyx! Yeah, for the last 2 tests I took some Kalms which I think really helped as I wasn't no way near as nervous as before, just a case of the rain screwed up one test and a loon on the roundabout screwed up the other and I hardly get any minors at all...in all of the tests! I am gonna use the Kalms again, I think they do work, kinda hard to explain but it is like something in my brain is notched down a gear or two which kinda doesn't make you as riled up and stressy if you see what I mean!
Yep that dozey mare obviously hasn't changed a bit!
I went out for a run today, found it mega hard work as it was soooo blimin' hot! Was feeling very dehydrated half way round but plodded on and got back to work! Always look like a beetroot, despite having a cold shower afterwards! I am one of those runners who looks like she probably smokes 100 a day and can't even walk let alone run, like I am about to pass out at any minute
I can't stand it when I see peeps out and they look perfect! Dunno how they do it! I look like a right sweaty betty!

Just a quick message as need to hunt out my gym kit before bed! Emily LOVED her day at the 'big' school today as she had to spend the day there, having taster lessons etc! She had a fab time and I was really pleased as was very nervous this morning poor thing! Can't believe my baby is growing up soooo fast! I am so very proud of her!
Right gym kit and bed! I promised myself an early night tonight but was busy yapping to a mate for ages and I haven't got anything done! But it was worth it! There is always tomorrow!

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been about for the last day or two but have had probably the worst week of my life! Waaaaayyyyy too much of a long story and lets just say I am sooooo glad it is over with now! To top it all off I failed my dam driving test AGAIN!!! My driving instructor has told me that the next test is on him as this is getting silly, so can't knock it! Was a failure for something really silly which I thought I may get a minor for but nor a major and the man said it had been a pleasure and a lovely drive and wasn't I a very polite young lady...Grrrrr just pass me then purlease! Oh well, ho hum, just got to try again and hope for 8th time lucky! Gutted as I thought that was the best driving I have done test wise and really thought I had passed!
Anyhoooos, Emily was meant to have her mate over tonight to sleep but the girl has said that she is scared to be away from her mum. I suppose I am very lucky that I don't get that with Emily...so more sweets and goodies for her then! Real shame as I know Emily loves having mates over, being that she is an only child.
When she goes off to her Carnival thing tomorrow, I will have a spare couple of hours and have decided that I will go to the gym if the weather is ok. Will get me out of the house for a bit...go stir crazy if I am cooped up in here for too long! I will spend the afternoon at the carnival and walk to save bus fare. Then me and Em's will only have to find the bus fare home. Have been trying mega hard to keep the money down this week, so I can pay a little off the Tesco card. We have basically been eating what ever is in the cupboards this week and have done ok so far! My healthy eating has helped so I have managed to refrain from stuffying my face with rubbish so that is good!
Despite having the worst week ever and then failing my test again, I have come home from work feeling remarkably positive! I am glad that it is the weekend tomorrow and I am gonna see my folks on Sunday and hopefully me and Emily will have a lovely day at the carnival, it is nice us two spending time together...we don't do it enough really and need to make more time!
Part of my rubbishy week was due to problems with Emily using MSN and the webcam and got to a point where I nearly had to get the police involved but hopefully have everything sorted now. Don't wanna go into the details but I have now removed MSN and other 'Community' sites so she is spending a lot less time on the PC and more time out doing things, playing, colouring etc, stuff kids should be doing! So I think that even though it added to my list of problems, something good has come out of it! She is a lot more calmer too which is nice!
Righteo, will be back in a bit as am going to make me and the munchkin a cup of tea and let her have a few of those cookies I brought for her and her friend...sure they will go down well!
