Stuff that I find sells well are fitness equipment, some Playstation / DS games, train set stuff and bike bits! Very random I know!

I have tried flogging clothes but they never really sell that well :( DVDs do ok too I suppose, but that is really hit and miss!

I always put pictures on and start at a 99p bid as find that attracts interest! I ALWAYS post recorded after being stung before by a buyer making up soooo many stories!

Room is coming alomg slowly...have done several coats of white paint and have picked up the coloured paint today, ready to start tomorrow! White paint took ages to go on and am hoping that coloured paint will be easier! Bed is being delivered on Saturday and have picked up cheap bedding and curtains with my Xmas money and a nice light shade too. Next month will aim for a chest of drawers and some new carpet too! I will have the door frames, skirting etc to paint but will leave that for a little while as this decorating is eating up my week off! Just want to get the bulk of it done really...rest won't take too long so might do it the following weekend as boyf is away that weekend!

Am getting a little concerned that I won't be able to clear the M & S card by the end of the month but will try my best. Reckon I am a little out on the totals but cannot be helped as didn't really budget for paint etc. Can't do much more than try my best!

  • And your best is more than good enough..look at the overall picture. That is a very good achievement.
I forgot to ask have they followed up as promised on Lorraine's programme? It has been a year now and you may well provide a lot of inspiration for folk struggling out there.

So you are a busy bee.
Dont fret if you dont get card cleared by the end of the month~sometimes life gets in the way.
Dissapointing about no follow up from the programme but you have done so so well without any follow up:T :T

  • Heeeeeelllo everyone!

What a lush day today! Nice and bright and fresh :)

I am having to wait in all day for the delivery of Emily's bed from Tesco...I hope it is ok as is only a cheapo one really :( but needs must and I will get her a better one when we are living in our mansion :)

I have nearly finished decorating her room! I stripped the wallpaper, filled the holes as best I could, sanded them down, put 2 coats of white base paint up as the walls had never been painted! Then 2/3 coats of colour up too! I have also been glossing the woodwork, which wasn't too bad as was already a whitish colour and my coat kinda made it look clean again! Just have a very small bit to do then it is all done! Have got her a new lightshade, bedding and curtains too so need to organise all of that later. I really need to do the ceiling though, but that will be next weekend...and get carpet asap to replace the cacky one that is there at the mo but that can wait a few weeks or so!

Really really chuffed with it, especially as it took me the whole of my week off!

And we have finally both had haircuts! :) Emily looks AWESOME with shorter hair...nowt like the picture she took in but it is really quite short and funky and she LOVES it so we are both happy bunnys!

Money situation looking a bit cacky this month if I am honest! Shame with the awesome ebay sales, but dunno what went wrong! I have had to get a few bits for the decoarting etc so imagine it could be that...and had 2 social evening things so that took a bit of money away too :( But as beanielou says life gets in the way sometimes! Cannot wait till payday next week and get my overtime etc and see where I am at with that dam card!

Need to put money aside for easter childcare too...and trip away next month when I go and see the Metallica concert! Eeeek!

Am seeing the family tomorrow, as they all want to visit Cabot Circus! Can't wait to see them all! My bro has found out that the baby they are having will be due in July and be another boy! Can't wait...I love babies...but only other peoples! One exorcist child is enough for me at the moment...but who knows in the future? I am 29 after all so have a good few years left and Emily will be at perfect babysitting age...ha ha!

Have had a lovely week off and will be off on Monday too before back to work on Tuesday. I have learned that I need to chill when it comes to work and not get so involved as get in a stressy and it affects my home life :( I need to leave it in the office during work hours! Not worth the agro really :( Don't get paid enough for that!

Am gonna be busy today cleaning and general tidying up and then off to do the food shopping. I usually go on a Sunday so will change this this week and go on the Saturday instead. I wanna really keep the meals down low this week, try to save £££ and maybe loose a few lbs too as am putting on weight so quick it is mental...think down to boredom and stress at work...all to easy to eat and long for 5pm...need to break that now as will be spring and summer before I know it!

Looking forward to payday and trying to balance the monies for March. I shouldn't complain really as at first I wanted the card cleared by April anyway, but just really wanna start saving for this Ski-ing trip next Easter...am gonna try and find a few more bits to flog but not looking good as have sold nearly everything worth flogging!

I do however wanna reduce all this clutter and then it will be easier to keep the house tidy! One day at a time though I suppose!

Righteo...off to get some breakie! xxx

Well you have been busy!!!;) Emily's room sounds fab - bet she's really pleased with it!

And I got my haircut this week at last too - but was too chicken to go a bit shorter as planned, so it doesn't look any different really:o G wanted hers done but they have a cheerleading competition next sat and hair is being put in fancy styles so best leave it long for now!

I'm the same with ebay too - running out of decent stuff to sell...really annoying;) I have 2 broken Nintendo DS's on there right now - one on £42 and the other on £25, nice bit of money for our holiday fund! But my house still looks cluttered I think - it was so nice and tidy when we moved in (and things were in boxes haha) but bits and bobs creep about and get left in odd places!!

It's a fab day here too - makes it so much easier getting up when the sun's shining! Back to work for me on Mon - and a trip to the farm with Year 2 to start the week off:eek:

I'm on my own right now, girls with their dad til lunchtime, then we're off to see my sis, bit of birthday dinner for me. It's not til next week but I won't see them then! Mum giving me money so off to Next I go, they have a great big Next there and I need a few Spring tops (last yrs a little snug!!) My weight's creeping up too, just a few pounds on, but all round my middle, which is hard to hide in Spring/Summer when t-shirts come out, so I must cut out nibbling on stuff between meals:o

Anyway, better go and tidy up....!! Have a fab weekend!
I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • Heya MS!

Yep Em's room is gonna look wicked...I feel mega guilty as she hasn't had a nice decorated room since I was in Chippenham and I left there in 2002 :( Wanna get a few pictures and a nice mirror and a few shelves etc but will be doing that slowly...

Had a call from Tesco, they will be here around 12-2pm so that will give me time to finish the painting in a mo and get the rest of the rubbish out of the room to attempt to put the bed together! Should be fun???!!!

I too like keeping my hair as is as I love it at the mo but hairdresser keeps saying it is good to change. I only had it changed last summer but really love it as is funky! Poor G! I suppose stuff like Cheerleading etc they need it kept the same ready to be styled etc? Hope she does well in the contest! Do you go and watch her? You must be proud...I know I am when I see Ems in stuff...she doesn't want me there these days...worried I might embarrass her...as if! ;)

So you keeping the sales money for a holiday fund? That is a cool idea! Have any plans where you want to go?

Good luck with the Farm trip...bet kids that age get into all kinds of naughtyness...make sure they don't smuggle any animals onto the coach home!

Enjoy your birthday foodies and shopping. I hate it as know that I have quite a few items of clothing (none of which actaully match and can be worn with anything else!) but that are in a size smaller than I am now :( I really need to stop this fluctuating :( I think it is to do with the weather, boredom and not running these days, so have promised myself I will get back out there next week and get some sort of schedule up together...soooo gotta be done!

    Enjoy your weekend! xxx

  • Both of my 2 are in the cheerleading comp next Sat, they've never competed before;) They are both in 2 groups as they get used to do the stunts, get thrown about:eek: I'm not going to watch, it's in Cardiff, all day (like 8am til 9pm) so thought I'd have a day at home, other Mums aren't going either. G says they wont win as it's their first time so she's happy i'm not going!! Monkey...I'm just an embarrassment to her hahahaa

As for the holiday....already booked it;) My sis found a good deal about a month ago, so we just booked it. Just for a week, the day after we break up in july, to Ibiza, all inclusive. For the 3 of us is £1100, so I figured I could save that by then. I owe £300 in March, which I've saved already. So bang went the plan to overpay on debts, but hey.....how could I turn down a holiday, especially if my sis, bro in law and their 3 girls were going! My 2 would be sooooo sad if we didn't join them;)

Urghh...I've just got dressed and I feel squeezed into my tops, wore them happily last year so this over eating malarkey has to stop! can't go to Ibiza lookin like this:D All round my middle, such an apple shape me:o

Good you know the time Tesco are coming....not too late is it? So go get on with the painting!! I should be tidying but I always gravitate back to the pc:rotfl:
