Righteo off to sort stuff out for tomorrow and then find a new book to get my teeth into! Want to read more this year as I love reading and escaping with a book just never seem to find the time!
Take care all xxx
Me too - you'll have to recommend stuff to me;) I'm off to bed now to read my book...currently reading 'Under a Blood Red Sky' which is very good - about a couple of women in Russia, one's escaped from a POW camp. Doesn't sound my usual cup of tea, but the author's 1st book i loved so thought I'd try this and it's better:p
Anyway....you sound like you're making fab progress with the debts - I'm v impressed with what you've paid off in your sig...:T
I don't think I'll be overpaying a penny this month - I've spent £200 on the girls' clubs this month and still have another £20 to pay for a cheerleading copmpetition at the end of Feb, money due asap and also G's outfit cost £35 which I'v yet to pay:mad: Also....to finish me off, Em's DS broke yesterday...hinge snapped off....so the [STRIKE]kind[/STRIKE] daft mother I am, bought her another:eek: Crazy, but she uses it so much, she was counting her coins out bless her....And G's ds did the same a coupel of yrs ago and hers got replaced so can hardly tell Em no...oh well, I had the money...it's cleared me out til TC on Thurs tho!!!!:o
Anyway, off to my bed now......
Bye for now,
xxxxI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Sorry to hear about the DS MS...What a mare
Must make it harder with the two girls as can't give one something and then not the other...I am lucky I only have the one kiddiewink! I hate it when things happen and I can't overpay...makes me annoyed but then can't be helped I suppose, as these things happen and stuff crops up all the time
I have started reading Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker; it is the book that was then turned into the film Hellraiser. I get waaaaaay too scared watching those kinda movies so can't watch them, but the book is good! It was only a £1 in Asda, but dunno if it is the full book as seems very short! But £1 can't go wrong!

Well have been at work for the day today, 8 hours work at time and a half...kerching! Must make sure I fill out my overtime form asap on Monday to make sure it will be paid in my February wages as want it all for the M & S card...which is coming down nicely! I really want it paid off by the start of March if poss so that I can use March's payment towards the start of saving for the ski trip.
No Council tax and water bills etc for 2 months should help bring it down too
Have decided I am gonna whack some more bits on Ebay tomorrow after the successes of the other bits (well apart from the one game that the guy never paid for!) so as to try and make some extra £££. Quicker I clear the card the better as really looking forward to just having the last 2 cards left, deespite the balances being huge! Will be good to see them start coming down, yay!
Off to make myself some spag bol for tea...I am starvin' marvin today!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

I wrote a reply to your post last night beanielou...and the darm thing has vanished and I can't remember what I typed...just knew I typed something...grrrrrrrrrr!
Hope everyone is well today! I have listed 3 more bits on the ol' fleabay...yay! I am looking forward to the end of the month and seeing the budget as really hope I have enough money left to get myself a dam haircut...gawd knows I need one! That is the only mare about having short hair...need it cut more often and haven't had it cut since October time...it looks a right ol' mess. The style I have is really short on one side and long on the other...kinda looks like I could only afford half a haircut! But I ADORE it! Em's is gonna get hers done soon too. She has only had about one haircut in about 4 years no jokeShe hates having it done and it is very long but I have decided the lot is coming off as am fed up with it! She wants an 'emo' style kinda long fringe in your face but I have said that she will need it clipped back...much to her dismay!
Hoping the bits on fleabay will sell well as not only do I want the card paid and 2 haircuts, also need to start budgeting for Emily's bedroom decorating. I have some white paint to put on first, just need the colour...purple! I am spending my Xmas money (£40) towards a duvet set and curtains for her...lucky madam! She really wants this glow in the dark skulls set from Argos!
I have been shattered out this weekend, what with working yesterday! But time and a half cannot be sniffed at!
Gonna get ready for tomorrow and have a hunt about for more bits to flog

Donner you are doing really well as ever. Does your DD realise how hard you are working to sort this debt out or do you keep it from her? How do you manage to work weekends with having DD? Sorry bit nosey aren't I!
Your family and boyfriend must be so proud of how hard you are working to sort the money out. You so deserve that hair cut! Keep up the good work x0 -
Heya KM!
Yep, Em's knows all about it...and I feel so sorry for her, not having a nice bedroom, lush stuff and fancy clothes, trips out etc like the rest of her friends, but I love her more than anything I am know she knows that so that is all that counts I suppose. She is the one thing keeping me going, knowing that some time soon I will be able to treat her and she will really appreciate it, not like the rest of her friends!
As I work at the Uni, we have 4 shutdown weekends a year where we close off the IT equiptment and can work on it, so I can usually get 4 days extra overtime per year and do a couple of on call days too over the summer where I can get a flat rate of £80 per day plus overtime rate if I get called out! So that helps too! My boyf looked after her yesterday for meSo that was good!
My dad is very proud of me and tells me all the time! I really want him to be proud of me...I love him so very much! Boyf is pretty suprised I think at how quickly it is coming down...as am I! Mad to think I started off this time last year with about 8 cards and will be hopefully left with just 2 at the end of the month! Awesome! I know they are the biggest ones with about £11,000 on them, but will be such a good feeling watching them come down! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Do you know what Donner that is all so positive
Really nice to hear that everyone is supportive and proud of you, quite right too :A It must be nice that the debt is out in the open and not a secret as I think adds to the pressure for some people.
Juggling 8 cards must have been a mare so I can understand the beauty of 2 cards. Will there be any possibility of shuffling cards to reduce interest rates or will you be leaving them as they are?
And yay to boyfriend helping out with DD :T0 -
